Avril Lavigne dating Tyga just days after splitting from ex-fiancé Mod Sun

Avril Lavigne has seemingly confirmed she’s dating Tyga only a few days after splitting from her fiancé Mod Sun.

The pop-rock icon, 38 attended the Mugler x Hunter Schafer Party during Paris Fashion Week on Monday (6 March) where she was spotted kissing the 33-year-old rapper.

The couple’s PDA was captured only a week after they were first linked romantically, which shocked and confused the internet.

Now, Lavigne and Tyga have openly cuddled up to one another and looked very loved-up in front of other attendees and photographers.

People are in absolute shock on social media, with one fan commenting on the connection between Lavigne, Tyga and the Kardashians.

“Um wow...they gotta date out of their circle. Tyga has a baby with Chyna who has a baby with Rob who's sister is Kourtney who is married to Travis who is the owner of Avril's record label,” they tweeted after the pictures emerged.

Another shocked social media user wrote: “2023 really throwing some curveballs. Really didn’t have Tyga and Avril Lavigne on my radar, especially seeing as she was engaged a couple of weeks ago."

The ‘Complicated’ hitmaker’s love life made headlines last month when she called off her engagement to real-life ‘Sk8er Boi’ Mod Sun.

Fans were over the moon last March when Avril and Mod Sun – real name Derek Smith – got engaged during a romantic trip to Paris.

The 35-year-old ‘Karma’ singer popped the question after dating Lavigne for around a year after working on their duet ‘Flames’.

When word of a split arose, Mod Sun’s reps told Page Six in February that they were still engaged as of three days before he left to go on tour.

"They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him,” the rep told the publication.

Lavigne was later pictured having dinner with Tyga and friends in L.A. where both musicians embraced before leaving in the same car, TMZ reports.

But now it appears Lavigne and Mod Sun’s romance is well and truly over. Last week, the Grammy nominee stepped out with the ‘Taste’ rapper at the Courrèges show.

They continued to fuel speculation after they were spotted arriving together at Leonardo DiCaprio’s party at Kuku restaurant in Paris.

Lavigne’s representatives have since confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with Mod Sun.

As his tour commenced, Mod Sun appeared to reference the split in an emotional Instagram post.

He wrote: “In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken."
