Aaron Carter's mum shares scene of his death as she searches for answers to his tragic passing

Jane Schneck shared pictures from the bathroom where her son was found dead of a suspected drug overdose in November.

Aaron Carter’s mum has shared shocking pictures of the scene of his death months after his tragic passing.

Jane Schneck posted a series of pictures on Wednesday (1 March) on Facebook as she pleaded with police to investigate her son’s death further.

The shocking images were taken at Carter’s home in California on 5 November last year. His body was found in a bathtub and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office said no water was found in the 34-year-old’s lungs. This ruled out drowning as his cause of death.

One image shows the bathtub where her son was found dead. It was still filled with water when the picture was taken.

Another picture showed the late singer and television personality’s towels and clothing across the floor – including a grey sweatshirt and beige sweatpants.

Schneck clarified that she had the support of her family to post the pictures in the hopes of raising attention to her son’s case.

"Still trying to get a real investigation for the death of my son Aaron Carter,” she wrote alongside the pictures.

"I want to share these death scene photos with you all because the coroner wrote it off as an accidental drug overdose. They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past."

She added: "A lot of potential homicide information was there for years. Aaron had a lot of death threats and many many people who were making his life miserable."

Then in January, Carter’s fiancée Melanie Martin and his mum told TMZ that they want law enforcement to investigate whether an alleged drug deal on the night of his death contributed to his passing.

Martin said she found text messages on Carter’s phone from an unidentified person telling the former teen pop star that he owed $800 for an unknown substance.

Carter reportedly told the person that he no longer needed the substance, to which the person replied that he still owed the money, according to Martin.

The cause of Carter’s death is yet to be confirmed as toxicology results have not yet been delivered.

Carter's brother is Nick Carter, who is best known as a member of the Backstreet Boys. In a statement dedicated to his brother, he wrote: "Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.

"I have always held onto the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed."

He continued: "Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss. But the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here.

"I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz., now you get a chance to finally have some peace you could never find here on earth… God,Please take care of my baby brother."
