A bed that bounces up and down with the touch of a remote control has been invented to help couples in the bedroom.

A video of the bed in action has been shared on X and Reddit, where one woman could be seen testing it out in store.

The bed in question, appears to have been created by a company called Simmons Group Sleep Technology Co. Ltd and features a remote control which seems to control the level of bounce.

In the clip, the woman can be seen lying down on the bed, while a man - thought to be a sales rep - controls the function via a control.

The pair could be seen in heaps of laughter as the bed bounces up and down at a gradually quicker rhythm.

It's not currently clear if the bed is actually on sale, or whether it's a prototype, but UNILAD has reached out to the company for more information.

Over on Reddit, people were pretty divided over the idea.

One person wrote: "Could work."

While another said: "That’s just going to mess up our rhythm."

Others had some pretty important questions, with another commenting: "And what if I want to eat something in bed... and I accidentally activate the bed's hardcore mode?"

With another asking: "Am I the only one who think this could be the best alarm clock ever?"

Meanwhile, a third said: "I'm not the most experienced in the bedroom, but I believe if you need a bouncing bed, you're doing it wrong?"

Recently, we told you about another bed that's been designed to protect people from earthquakes.

It might look like a sort of normal bed but in the event of seismic activity the bed will open up and immediately drag its occupant into a protective box.

Seeing it in action, the bed snaps up hapless people whether they're awake or asleep.

Once inside, the person is protected from any falling debris and can be found by rescuers more easily.

It also contains enough supplies of water and oxygen to keep you going, as well as a TV screen inside to keep you entertained.

People took to social media platform Reddit to share their thoughts on the disturbing invention.

One wrote: "How are you going to get out when you’re buried under tons and tons of rubble. This is just a fancy coffin."

A second commented: "Exactly where I want to be in an earthquake, stuck in a metal box under tons of debris."
