Fleetwood Mac fans have been left reeling in floods of tears after Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham sparked reunion rumors.
The last time the iconic late 60s band toured was back in 2019, though notably lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist Buckingham was absent from the stage.
Buckingham joined the band in 1975 alongside his then-lover, Nicks, with the powerhouses going on to steer the band to new heights.
Despite the pair's romance coming to an end the following year, Fleetwood Mac went on to record their Grammy-winning album Rumours in 1978.

However, the band started to waver by the late 1980s and disintegrate, with Buckingham formally departing in 1987.

In 2018, Buckingham launched a lawsuit against his former bandmates for allegedly kicking him out of the reunion, which was apparently settled by December of that year.
Founding member, Mick Fleetwood, also hinted at burying the hatchet with Buckingham in 2020 following the death of fellow founding guitarist Peter Green, who died aged 73 in his sleep.

Tragically, Christine McVie then died of a stroke in 2022 at the age of 79, prompting Nicks to rule out any chances of a possible reunion, citing McVie's absence as irreplaceable.
Nicks also told Rolling Stone in October last year that she 'dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could.'
"You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances," she added, appearing to stamp out any hopes of the band getting back together.
So, it's fair to say any signs of a reconciliation are a pretty big deal and Mac fans are going nuts as the estranged lovers appear to have suggested a reunion could well be on the cards.

The 'Landslide' hitmakers made a pair of posts on Instagram on Thursday (July 17), with 77-year-old Nicks and 75-year-old Buckingham heavily hinting that the near decade-long feud is finally at an end.
Nicks posted the lyrics from the 1973 hit 'Frozen Love': "And if you go forward..."
"I'll meet you there," Buckingham penned on his own account, completing the lyrics to the song from the pair's only joint studio album, Buckingham Nicks.

Adding fuel to the fire, Fleetwood posted a video on Instagram the day before, featuring the same song.
He wrote in the caption: "It's all in the song... It's in the music that played on for so many years. It's magic then, magic now. What a thrill."
Fleetwood had also told Rolling Stone last year that he remained optimistic Nicks and Buckingham would someday make up.
"Stevie’s able to speak clearly about how she feels and doesn’t feel, as does Lindsey. But I’ll say, personally, I would love to see a healing between them," he said at the time.
Fans have since 'lost it' over the posts, with dozens racing to social media to share their thoughts.

"Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham just tweeted these... is it weird that I'm crying?" wrote one on Twitter.
Another said: "Wouldn't that be something if after all these years, they finally figured it out..."
A third penned: "WHAT IN THE SILVER SPRINGS IS HAPPENING WITH FLEETWOOD MAC??!!"

While a fourth commented: "Give me a Fleetwood Mac reunion tour and give me it nowwwwww."
However, some believe the pair's posts could just mean a 'Buckingham Nicks' reunion could be brewing.
Still, there must be something in the making... so watch this space!
