Pink slams separation rumors as 'fake news' with brutal Epstein quip

The singer was less than impressed with the false reports of a separation from her husband circulating.

Grammy award winning singer Pink has shut down any rumours that she and her husband Carey Hart have separated after 20 years together - and true to her music, she did it in a very punk-rock way.

The situation first unfolded on Thursday, when an anonymous source told PEOPLE magazine that she and her husband had parted ways, something Pink was very quick to clarify on Instagram, was categorically untrue.

Addressing the inaccuracy in a video, she said, "So I was just alerted to the fact that I'm separated from my husband, I didn't know. Thank you People magazine, thank you US Weekly. Thank you for letting me know, I was wondering if you'd also like to tell our children, my 14-year-old and 9-year-old, are also unaware.”

While the singer could’ve stopped there, instead she chose to make the most of the moment and highlight some of the news stories she thought that ought to have been gaining more traction than the ins-and-outs of her love life.

"Or, do you want to talk about some real news?” She went on. "Do you want to talk about the Epstein files? Do you want to talk about systemic racism or misogyny in sports or how classy the women's hockey team is? Or how eight of the 12 medals won in the Olympics this year for the U.S. were won by women? Or do you maybe want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock N Roll motherf----g Hall of Fame?”

She concluded her message, "Do you want to talk about my accomplishments or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise? So fake news, not true, f-----g hate that term. I love you all, go with God and trash news you can do better, night night.”

The So What hitmaker, 46, learned on Wednesday (Feb 25) that she was nominated to become a 2026 Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductee, alongside 17 other award winning artists that have carved a lasting legacy for themselves in the music industry over the past few years.

These include: Lauryn Hill, Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan, Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, Billy Idol, INXS, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, New Edition, Sade, Shakira, and Luther Vandross.

So it’s easy to see why she felt frustrated, when instead of celebrating her accomplishment the press was more focused on her love life.

Pink herself however, did celebrate her milestone achievement of being nominated, with another Instagram post that couldn’t hide her excitement. "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee. How is this possible?! Look what we did together y’all!!!!! I never ever fit neatly into a box. That was kind of the whole point.” she exclaimed.

Pink continued. “This nomination isn’t mine; it’s ours. It’s for every one of us who ever felt like an outsider or underdog and found something in this music that made them feel less alone.”
