Russia has issued a disturbing threat to the US after Donald Trump reportedly 'approves' a plan of attack on Iran.

As tensions are continuing to boil over in the Middle East, with Iran and Israel launching into missile strikes against one another last week, attention has turned on the US President over if and how America might weigh in.

Donald Trump initially said: "I may do it, I may not do it," when asked whether the country would join the conflict and he reportedly skipped out on the G7 leaders summit early to attend to the matter on Monday (June 16).

Then on Tuesday (June 17), the US Air Force's gigantic 'Doomsday plane,' equipped to handle nuclear catastrophe, was seen traversing the skies in a rare appearance, prompting concerns that war could very well be afoot.

Now, Trump has appeared to move closer to that outcome having allegedly told his top national security advisers from the Situation Room that same day that he approves of any plans of attack on Iran if they were presented to him, reports ABC News. However, sources told the Wall Street Journal that while he's in support of strikes, he is waiting to see if the country would negotiate ending their nuclear program first.

As the strategy came to light, Trump explained: "I like to make the final decision one second before it’s due.”

"As President Trump said himself today, all options remain on the table," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt added to reporters.

Iran's ally, Russia, has also muscled in on the rising tensions by issuing a stern warning that US intervention could 'radically destabilise the entire situation.'

Speaking to Reuters, Russian spokesperson Maria Zakharova said: “Nuclear facilities are being struck… Where is the [concern from the] entire world community?"

She then made the chilling warning that the world is merely moments away from 'nuclear catastrophe.'

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Interfax earlier this week that Moscow had advised America to sit out on the conflict, stating it has already claimed hundreds of Iranian lives and injured dozens of Israeli's.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also said US participation would be 'costly,' ominously adding: “The Iranian nation will not surrender.”

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has refuted claims that they too would get involved, stating: "We are not imposing anything on anyone; we are simply talking about how we see a possible way out of the situation.

"But the decision, of course, is up to the political leadership of all these countries, primarily Iran and Israel.”

Before leaving the G7 in Canada, Trump urged residents in Iran's capital, Tehran, to evacuate and penned on his Truth Social platform that the country 'should have signed the 'deal' I told them to sign.'

"What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again!" he added.

Explaining further to reporters on Wednesday (June 18), Trump said he's 'had it' with the situation and his patience had 'already run out' with Iran.

"I give up," he continued. "No more. Then we go blow up all the, you know, all the nuclear stuff that's all over the place there."
