The holiday greetings cards mailed out by the Biffle family just days before their death have begun arriving in the mail in a final act of kindness by the NASCAR legend.
Greg Biffle, a talented driver and icon of the sport, passed away on Thursday when the plane he was travelling in with his wife and two children crashed and burst into flames.
Sadly, neither Biffle, his wife Cristina, nor their two children - five-year-old Ryder and 14-year-old Emma - survived the crash.
However, despite the agonising loss, one final act of heartwarming kindness has shared a glimpse into the family’s home life, as their family holiday cards began arriving in mailboxes of their loved ones this week.

One of Biffle's friends, a restaurant owner in North Carolina named Ron Herbert, shared a glimpse of the card on social media, as he paid tribute to the Biffles while still feeling the sting of their loss.
The card featured the whole family posing in front of decorated Christmas trees in matching outfits of plain white t-shirts and stonewashed jeans as they shared a smile together.
It also featured the message: "We hope that you are able to slow down and enjoy the magic and joy that this season has to offer. We hope you have a great New Year! Sending love, Greg, Cristina, Emma & Ryder."
Speaking about what it was like to receive the card so soon after the tragic loss, Herbet captioned his own post: “I received this in the mail today. My words can't say enough about the family.”
Fans flocked to the comment section to express their sympathies, while also pointing out just how much the card was needed in the wake of such a devastating loss.
“It's like they knew close friends and family would need one last warm hug from them. Love and all the support in the world to all those navigating the holidays without those beautiful faces,” wrote one commenter.
Meanwhile a second added: “A message to cherish. Praying for each family member and friend who have lost so much. Thank you for sharing.”
The Biffles passed away on December 18, when the Cessna C550 they were travelling in crashed.

They were flying to Sarasota, Florida, when they took off from Statesville Regional Airport, about an hour outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, according to data from FlightAware.
However, during the flight, the journey was averted when the plane turned around and attempted to land back down at Statesville Regional Airport.
It crashed at around 10:15am, and immediately burst into flames.
The Statesville Regional Airport confirmed the crash in a statement, saying: “We can confirm there has been an aircraft incident at the Statesville Regional Airport. At approximately 10:15 a.m., an aircraft crashed while landing. The Federal Aviation Administration is en route and will investigate the incident.”
An investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) into the crash will now take place, with the NTSB leading the probe.
