Social media users have been left shocked by Donald Trump's 'bold' response after being asked about a birthday letter he allegedly sent to Jeffrey Epstein.
The Epstein case has been plunged back into the spotlight again in recent months following the Trump administration's apparent U-turn on its intentions to release all the FBI files related to it.
More recently, the Democrats on the Oversight Committee shared an image allegedly taken from Epstein's 'birthday book', which they claim was sent to the convicted sex offender on his 50th birthday.

“HERE IT IS: We got Trump’s birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein that the President said doesn’t exist,” the caption stated.
“Trump talks about a 'wonderful secret' the two of them shared. What is he hiding? Release the files!”

The note appeared to be a drawing of an outline of a woman's body, while a type of script written over the top can also be seen.

It begins: “Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything.
“Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.
“Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.
“Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.

“Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.
“Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?
“Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.
“Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday - and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

Speaking to the press on Tuesday (September 9), Trump dismissed speculation it was him who penned the letter.
He said: “It's not my signature and it's not the way I speak. Anybody that has covered me for a long time know that's not my language. It's nonsense.”
Trump's answer has shocked much of the internet, with one person dubbing his response as 'bold'.
The letter matches the description given by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) in a report published in July.

It was claimed by the outlet - which reportedly reviewed documents - that Ghislaine Maxwell - the former girlfriend and accomplice of Epstein - collected messages from Epstein's associates and added them to a birthday album in 2003.
At the time, Trump dismissed the report and said he was planning to sue the WSJ as a result.
"The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued," the president wrote on Truth Social.

"The Editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was told directly by Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a FAKE, but Emma Tucker didn't want to hear that. Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway."
