Elon Musk has shared his thoughts on there being a so-called 'Jeffrey Epstein hoax'.

The Trump administration has recently made a U-turn on its claims that there were several files relating to Epstein which they would possibly release to the public in a bid to be more transparent about high-profile historical cases.

There were rumors of an apparent 'client list', but this has been been dismissed by the administration.

A report by the Justice Department and FBI stated: "A systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list’.

"There was also no evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions.

"We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties."

There's since been speculation that the reported list isn't being released because they're wanting to cover something up.

And it's not just a few US citizens that feel this way; a poll conducted by The Economist and YouGov from July 11 to 14 found that a staggering 67 percent of Americans think the government's hiding information about Epstein, The Independent reported.

But Trump continues to deny that there's more information to be released and hailed the whole thing a 'hoax' that was conspired by the Democrats.

However, it's his Republican followers that are also raising questions about it all —something which the president has slammed them for, hailing them as 'weaklings'.

Yesterday (July 16), Trump was grilled by a reporter about the so-called Epstein hoax who asked for evidence of said 'hoax'.

"[The hoax] has been run by the Democrats for four years," he said.

Trump went on to say that 'some stupid Republicans' have fallen into the net of those who believe the supposedly Democrat-created conspiracy theory.

Elon Musk has since replied to a clip of yesterday's interview and wrote: "Wow, amazing that Epstein 'killed himself' and Ghislaine is in federal prison for a hoax."

Replying to a different tweet which said that the whole thing is not a hoax, Musk penned: "It's a cover up (obviously)."

Another person accused Trump of 'gaslighting' people.

"This has to be one of the most egregious cases of gaslighting I've ever seen in my 36 years on this planet," this particular individual fumed.

"Right now, Trump is no different than any other self serving politician that cares of nothing more than power and protection.

"All along I knew we'd never get the full truth when it comes to the Epstein files, but this 180 from Trump and the cover up by his cult members is truly out of control."

Responding to this, Musk said: "Not a single Epstein client has been prosecuted. Not a single one."
