A recently published poll has detailed what Americans really think of the job Donald Trump is doing, including on a number of key issues such as immigration and tariffs.
Ever since the president returned to the White House for a second term in office in January 2025, multiple polls have been conducted to gauge the US population's thoughts on how he's doing in the job second time around.
And to be honest, many of them have been pretty damming for Trump, including research published last month by the Pew Research Center finding that Trump's approval rating was at 37 percent.
Now, a poll conducted by the Washington Post and IPSOS concluded that six in ten Americans disapprove of the job President Trump is doing in the White House.

The poll was broken down into six key areas, including tariffs and immigration.
The Trump administration has introduced a number of tariffs on goods imported into the US, some of which have been an eye-watering amount.

Immigration has also been a key policy for the US government, with the Department of State stating earlier this year that some 100,000 visas have been canceled since Trump returned to office.
The Republican president previously vowed to 'launch the largest deportation program in American history' so that he could start his bid to get 'criminals out' of the US.
Trump said he would remove any illegal immigrants, as he added: "I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in jail, then kick them the hell out of our country as fast as possible."
According to the Washington Post and IPSOS poll, Americans largely do not approve of Trump's stance on immigration and tariffs. With the latter, 34 percent involved in the poll approved of Trump's eye-watering tariffs, while 64 percent disapprove.

As for immigration, 40 percent said they approved of the president's methods, with a considerably higher 58 percent not a fan of Trump's immigration policies.
Trump is also polling poorly for key issues such as inflation and the state of the economy, though he did receive positive scores for his policies on the southern border.
Despite the president's poor ratings, Anna Kelly previously told Newsweek that Trump was 'delivering on his promises, and the American people remain firmly aligned with the President’s agenda to Make America Great Again, regardless of the Mainstream Media’s so-called polling'.
