After Donald Trump was put into office for the second time, you’d think his approval rating would only increase by those who have supported him for nearly a decade, but the figures are shocking.
Trump’s approval ratings have been publicly released since he took to the White House and a lot of them have shown how people’s views have changed, such as these set of results.
Whether you voted for him or not, the poll has some surprising results for who has now changed their minds about his performance, compared to what they believed it would be like prior to him taking office.
According to the Pew Research Center, 34 percent of Americans shared they are extremely or very confident that Trump has the leadership skills needed to serve as POTUS.

The survey polled 8,512 US adults of mixed political affiliation between January 20-26, which took into account six key qualities and abilities a person would need to serve as president.
Currently, the poll shows that confidence is down on all six measures since last year. Surprisingly, it’s mostly among Republicans.
As of right now, Trump’s approval rating is 37 per cent, down from 40 per cent in the fall of last year.
As for how they feel about his performance compared to how they felt he would perform, it’s worse than they expected (50%) instead of being better (21%).
Those who support most or all of Trump’s policies are also down from 35 per cent last year, now sitting at 27 per cent.
This change came exclusively from the Republican population, per the report.

It also found that 51 per cent of those polled are not too or not at all confident, while only 14 per cent are somewhat confident in his performance as leader of the free world. 52 per cent are not sure about his mental fitness, and 50 per cent are hazy on his physical fitness to do the job.
Then, there comes the question of him understanding how his administration should work, with 25 per cent extremely or very confident that he understands democracy in the US, and the same number believing he picks good advisers.
As it turns out, a lot of Republicans polled have changed their minds about Trump’s competency after his second term in office.

At the beginning of Trump’s second term, 55 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents admitted to being confident in his ability to act ethically in office, but separately, an AP-NORC poll released this month found that 61 percent of those questioned disapproved of his handling of immigration in the US.
Then, another poll by the New York Times and Siena University published on January 22, revealed that 49 percent of respondents said the US was worse off with him as its POTUS.
To this, Trump scathed: "Fake and Fraudulent Polling should be, virtually, a criminal offense.”
He added: "As an example, all of the Anti Trump Media that covered me during the 2020 Election showed Polls that were knowingly wrong. They knew what they were doing, trying to influence the Election, but I won in a Landslide, including winning the Popular Vote, all 7 of the 7 Swing States, the Electoral College was a route, and 2,750 Counties to 525."
Trump's rant continued: "You can’t do much better than that, and yet if people examined The Failing New York Times, ABC Fake News, NBC Fake News, CBS Fake News, Low Ratings CNN, or the now defunct MSDNC, Polls were all fraudulent, and bore nothing even close to the final results. Something has to be done about Fraudulent Polling. Even the Polls of Fox News and The Wall Street Journal have been, over the years, terrible!"
