A new poll has revealed what American citizens really think of Donald Trump deploying the Natural Guard to cities across the US.
Los Angeles, Washington, and more recently, Chicago have seen troops deployed in the city by the Trump administration.
Trump confirmed the deployment of 300 National Guard members to Chicago over the weekend, with White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson saying the move had been made amid 'ongoing violent riots and lawlessness' in Chicago.
"President Trump will not turn a blind eye to the lawlessness plaguing American cities," she added.

In a recent military-led speech Trump said he was refocusing the military to help law enforcement domestically and went on to praise the National Guard troops in D.C.
1,700 National Guard soldiers were deployed across the country earlier this year with the main objective of assisting ICE and the Department of Homeland Security.

And while Trump sees the benefit of deploying the National Guard, a recently published poll has found the vast majority of Americans are against it.

A CBS News poll found that 58 percent of Americans who were quizzed are against the National Guard being deployed to many cities across the US, while 42 percent are in favour.
Meanwhile, 61 percent object to active duty soldiers being sent to US cities, while 39 percent support it.
However, of Republican voters asked in the poll, 79 percent said they agreed with active duty US military troops being deployed in cities, while just 21 percent disagreed.
Democrat voters within the poll tell a totally different story however, with 92 percent against military deployment, and just eight percent in favour of it.

As for those who voted for Independent candidates at the last election, 70 to 30 percent are against the move by the Trump administration.
Trump has previously took issue at Democrat-led cities and indicated he would be making changes in the future.
"They’re very unsafe places, and we're going to straighten them out one by one," the POTUS said during a speech to the military last Tuesday (September 30).

"And this is going to be a major part for some of the people in this room. That's a war, too. It's a war from within. Controlling the physical territory of our border is essential to national security. We can't let these people in."
Trump continued: "After spending trillions of dollars defending the borders of foreign countries, with your help, we’re defending the borders of our country from now on."
He also claims he told Secretary of War Pete Hegseth: "We should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military — National Guard, but our military, because we’re going into Chicago very soon.
"That's a big city with an incompetent governor."

The comments were met with widespread opposition by political rivals and many on social media.
