Virgin Voyages has announced its very first annual pass that gives people access to its entire fleet of Lady Ships.

For anyone who has thought about going on a cruising vacation, you'll know that they aren't particularly cheap.

One trip at sea that will set you back a pretty penny is on the gigayacht that's being built, and it's estimated that it'll cost you an eye-watering $25.8 million to stay in one of the high-end accommodations available on it.

Meanwhile, the yacht's luxury penthouses will set you back a whopping $60 million.

Not many people have that kind of cash lying around to splurge on such vacations, but a more affordable figure (for some) is $120,000.

And that's not just for one trip either, but an annual pass for Virgin Voyages' cruise ships that gives you 'limitless' travel.

It's website explains: "The pass gives sailors access to Virgin Voyages' entire fleet of Lady Ships, including the newest ship, Brilliant Lady, debuting in September 2025.

"Whether you’re booking a short getaway or a longer, more immersive voyage, passholders will stay in a Sea Terrace cabin that features a private balcony complete with the brand’s signature red hammock."

Speaking about the new pass, Richard Branson said he's 'always been a big believer in the power of travel and adventure to spark creativity and bring clarity'.

"What started as a sought-after ‘work from sea’ concept with our Season Pass has evolved into something even more special," he continued.

"Now, Sailors can jump aboard any of our ships, across an endless variety of exciting destinations for an entire year. We’re offering unlimited opportunities for adventure in a way that has never been done in cruising before."

But that's not all that's good about the innovative pass - as Virgin will be accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment, and the prospect has left people very excited.

"Adoption at its very best," someone said on Twitter of the news. "Will be spending my next summer profits with Virgin then."

"Always great to see some positive crypto news," added another.

A third went on to rave: "This is AMAZING! Virgin Voyages is leading the way by accepting Can't wait to set sail into the future of cruising!"

A different person continued: "A great move by Virgin Voyages! This could be a game-changer for crypto adoption in the travel industry."

What do you think, could paying for vacations with cryptocurrency be the future?
