As millions of us jet off for the summer holidays, one woman has sparked intense debate on plane etiquette.

In a now-viral Tikok video, Loren Hodgson hit out at passengers who recline their seats on planes and even argued that it was ‘disrespectful’.

With the cost of tickets at an all-time high though, it sparked some major debate on the social media app.

You might want to fasten your seatbelt for this one, as the TikToker laid into a range of bad travel habits.

Her biggest pet peeve seems to be reclining seats though, with Hodgson looking actively annoyed as another customer leans back.

In the video caption, she pointedly wrote: "Me hating on people who push their seats back on a plane bc I actually respect people's space and would never do it."

She then added in the description: "Idk what's worse - this or a bare foot through the hand rest."

Posted two days ago on TikTok, the clip has taken flight and has been viewed over 62,00 times on the social media app.

Understandably, some weary travellers have had some strong feelings about the short video.

The clip has sparked intense debate.

In fact, many agree with Hodgson's hatred of space invaders – questioning why it was a thing on long-haul flights.

One even wrote: “Airlines need to stop making seats able to recline. it's the least amount of payoff for the person sitting with.”

Another shared their annoyance after experiencing this exact phenomenon on a long-haul flight and complained about their fellow travellers.

“Just happened to us on a 8/9 hour flight from uk to USA whole American family in front kept seats back whole time inc meal time,” they complained.

Meanwhile, others argued that they’d paid for the privilege of a reclining seat.

“As ex crew, a passenger has the right to recline the seat they paid for, but during meal service we ask them to put it upright,” argued one former steward in the comments.

Some also spoke about how flights affected their health, with the adjustable seats helping with pain relief and sleep.

“As someone with back pain, I will recline and so should you. These seats are too uncomfortable to stay put,” argued one Tiktoker, with another saying it was a necessity on long-haul flights.

Whilst there might be no agreement on proper plane etiquette, it’s not the only gripe for holidaymakers.

In fact, a security guard recently sparked outrage for removing beach towel that were meant to reserve sun loungers in Spain.

Maybe it’s easier just to stay at home after all?
