As Travis Kelce prepares to potentially take home a fourth Vince Lombardi Trophy with the Kansas City Chiefs, his pre-game outfit has raised a few eyebrows.

While all eyes are cast on his side and whether the Chiefs could secure an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl crown today (February 9), there are a number of fans who have been distracted by the 35-year-old's eccentric ensemble.

The tight end was seen donning an Amiri suit from its new fall/winter range, which consisted of a rouge jacket and pants, alongside a matching shirt, some tinted sunglasses, a black duffle bag and some chunky white and black shoes.

He looked unfazed despite the mounting task of taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in front of more than 70,000 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, with President Donald Trump and Kelce's girlfriend Taylor Swift set to make up the numbers.

Taking to Twitter, fans had mixed emotions about Kelce's clothing choice.

One person wrote: "The hell is Travis Kelce wearing lmao."

A second typed: "What in the heck is Travis Kelce wearing? Taylor must have picked it out."

While a third penned: "You know, this morning I was actually thinking to myself if the chiefs win whatever like they win all the time and I just wanna watch football, but after seeing Travis Kelce’s outfit for the game I have completely changed my mind. GO BIRDS!!"

But not everyone had such a damning review of his dress-up, in fact, some fans loved the fit.

"Travis Kelce won the Super Bowl outfit contest. He’s looking extremely fly," one added on Elon Musk's social media platform.

A second commented: "Travis Kelce Brings Retro Vibes to Super Bowl LIX in a ‘70s-Inspired Outfit! Travis Kelce just rolled up to #SuperBowlLIX in style! His ‘70s-inspired ensemble is giving us all the retro vibes."

And someone else added: "Loved, loved. loved Travis Kelce’s John Travolta outfit that he was rocking as he entered the stadium!"

The '70s-inspired outfit certainly caught the eye of his adoring fans, with one person even joking it's made them want to listen to a classic American soul band - which formed back in 1969.

"Travis Kelce’s outfit is making me want to go listen to Earth, Wind & Fire," they quipped.

In the build-up to the 59th Super Bowl, Kelce was asked on Wednesday (February 5) whether he listens to Kanye West to get him ready for the game - to which he gave a stern reply.

"I know you're dating Taylor, but do you have any Kanye on your hype playlist?" the reporter asked.

The NFL star immediately replied with a stern 'No' before moving on to the next question.

The beef between West and Swift dates back to 2009, when the rapper said he didn’t think Swift deserved the Best Female Video award at the VMAs, getting up on stage and interrupting her acceptance speech before claiming Beyoncé should have won the award.

But after Beyoncé later won the award for Video of the Year, she decided to invite the 'Shake It Off' singer up onto the stage to join her so that she could conclude her speech that West interrupted.
