An image of a man's bedroom has gone viral after a woman said it was a 'red flag'.
It has become something of a trope online to see pictures of a place where only men live which takes, let's say, a 'minimalist' approach.
This isn't consciously and doesn't deliberately adhere to the aesthetic approach of Minimalism - this is that the living room furniture consists of a TV, games console, large gaming chair, and nothing else. No decoration, no sofa, no houseplants, nothing.
In bedrooms, the trope sometimes sees someone with no bed frame, instead just having a mattress on the floor, sheets and duvets optional, while the kitchen consists of one bowl, one plate, and some cutlery.

There's probably some workout equipment somewhere in the house as well.
One man posted a picture of his bedroom to Reddit, captioning it: "My girlfriend hates my room. I live on my own right now and she saw my room and said it is an instant red flag."

The image was shared to the Reddit page 'malelivingspace', which shows off places where men live, including places which take our aforementioned approach alongside homes where someone has genuinely taken a great deal of care in creating a space that feels warm and homely.
But what does this room look like?

Well, there is a bed frame, so that's something, though no duvet, and the sheets that are there are the wrong size for the bed.

At the foot of the bed, a large TV mounted on a stand, while next to the bed is what looks like either a space heater or dehumidifier.
Apart from the bed, the biggest thing in the room is a large piece of exercise equipment, which looks like some sort of weights workout system.
There are no lamps, just the overhead light, and nothing on the wells - not even a Pulp Fiction poster.

People took to the comments to share their thoughts on the room, and some didn't hold back.
One wrote: "It looks like you live in a physical rehabilitation facility."
Another posted: "This is hilarious. You need to try to squeeze an exercise bike in here. Maybe put some mirrors on the wall and convert the entire thing into a home gym."
Meanwhile, a third person said simply: "This is so awful bro I don’t even know where to start lmao."

Someone else suggested that this might be a wake up call for the poster, writing: "She’s doing you a huge favor bro. Lol. Listen to her."
Oh dear.
