A neuroscientist has revealed the way she claims to be able to communicate with her dead husband.

Losing a loved one is a devastating moment which cannot be fully imagined by anyone who has not experienced it.

Many might wonder about the things that have been left unsaid, that they wish they could have shared with the person they have lost. But Dr Tara Swart says that she is able to communicate with her late husband every day.

Speaking on an episode of the podcast Diary of a CEO, she said: "It's possible to communicate with someone who has passed away.

"It's taboo because we are afraid that people will think we're going insane."

In a chilling admission, she added: "I've been part of teams that have locked people up and had them injected with stuff against their will because of things they were saying that are not that dissimilar to things I've experienced."

The neuroscientist and former medical doctor claimed that she has '34 senses'. Following the loss of her husband Robin, she described that she had felt 'totally lost and broken'.

"And then I started seeing robins in the garden every time I went to the window," she said. "I'd never ever seen so many robins in my life, not before or since."

Things seemingly came to a head when she had a weird and alarming experience one night.

"I got woken up by a massive thump on the shoulder," she told host Stephen Bartlett.

"So I opened my eyes, and I could see next to my bed a very vague hazy version of Robin as if he was pushing himself through treacle to be seen, and I was just transfixed, and I could see him become more and more clear, I could see the outline of his hair and his face, but he suddenly just dissolved from the top down."

She went on to describe how she would 'ask' her husband to show her signs, such as the sign of a phoenix, which she would then see in the world around her.

Despite the host questioning her about confirmation bias, that she would be seeing a connection in something which was actually a coincidence, Dr Swart remained adamant that she is able to receive messages from the dead.

"Either it will be that I'll ask a question in my mind and the answer will come in my mind, but I know it's not my own thought, or I'll get a direct message from him in my mind that I know isn't from me, but mostly it's the signs," she said.

She added: "If it's possible to communicate with someone that's passed away and he was my husband and my best friend and I am all about optimising my brain and expanding my consciousness, then I should be able to do it myself."
