Bizarre Trump speech about grass has everyone thinking he's 'completely lost his mind'

The US President's talk about the grass sparked a conversation about his White House Rose Garden renovation

US President Donald Trump’s bizarre speech has left a lot of people scratching their heads, as they debate whether or not he’s being serious.

Trump is in the news a lot (for good or bad), and most of that comes from the things that he says.

For example, he was in the news recently for taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, to attack a news station for its coverage of him.

He wasn’t happy with MSNBC after it announced it would be changing its name to MS NOW as part of a corporate divorce from NBC, as well as Newsom for copying the way he rants online.

But now, what’s really making people think is Trump’s words about grass.

That’s right, you read that correctly.

Trump is talking about grass, and social media users are thoroughly perplexed about what it all means.

The moment was captured on film as the POTUS stood in front of reporters and deemed himself the most knowledgeable about grass when talking about revamping DC parks.

He said: “One of the things we're going to be redoing is your parks."

He added: "I have a lot of golf courses all over the place. I know more about grass than any human being, I think, anywhere in the world."

Trump went on to state that 'grass has a life' and that DC grass died '40 years ago'.

For X users, they’re now debating whether ‘Trump’s completely lost his mind’.

One person replied: “I would say yes, he has lost his mind, but that would imply that he had a mind to begin with.”

Another claimed: “He never had a sane mind!”

However, there were those who took this as a chance to swipe at his presidency, with someone commenting: “Trump’s out here debating the life cycle of grass while Americans are worried about jobs, health care, and democracy itself. He’s not a leader, he is a late-night comedy sketch that never ends.”

One user just thought the president must know his stuff, typing: “He owns golf courses. The man knows his grass.”

But others were enraged that he was talking about the quality of grass after having ordered the Rose Garden on the White House grounds to be paved over.

One person said: “So why did he pave over the Rose Garden, grass and all.”

Another seethed: “This is coming from the man that paved a slab of concrete over the Rose garden lawn!!”

This year, Trump has replaced the grass in the White House Rose Garden with stone as part of a nearly $2 million project, which is supposed to focus on modifying the building.

As per NPR, Trump has a specific reason for doing this.

He said: “We had the press here yesterday. You see the women? They're going crazy. The grass was wet. Their heels are going right through the grass like 4 inches deep.”

Soggy grass is not fun, but the POTUS also said the change (even though it’s sans grass) is pleasing to the eye.

Trump added: “And it's a beautiful white stone. And it's a stone that's the same color as the White House itself. And because it's very white, it's going to reflect the heat. It's not going to be very hot, like if you had a dark stone.

"So, yeah, we've gotten great reviews on the Rose Garden.”

Maybe he just didn’t like wet grass?
