Donald Trump bizarrely called the US a 'stupid country' in his latest rant about birthright citizenship.

Since taking over the White House on January 20, President Trump has been on a bit of a mission to, as his motto goes, 'Make America Great Again,' by challenging the US's trade agreements with global partners and cracking down on drugs, crime, and immigration.

He's left no stone unturned when it comes to the latter, having deported countless migrants out of the country already, by evoking a wartime law to deport hundreds into El Salvador's mega-jail, without any legal proceedings, and offering up a 'free flight' to non-US citizens to leave the country with an 'exit bonus' cash prize to hype up the incentive.

However, the Trump administration has been controversially looking at ending birthright citizenship which in the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution stipulates 'all persons born or naturalised in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens'.

An executive order stated US citizenship should not be afforded to children born in the country to parents who don't have permanent residency, such as illegal immigrations or those visiting the country on a tourist, student, or temporary work visa.

The decision hasn't set well with federal justices ever since the 78-year-old signed the order, with three judges in Maryland, Massachusetts and Washington blocking the plan entirely.

Now taking to his Truth Social platform, the president urged the Supreme Court to reconsider, stating that the right was given out at the end of the Civil War to protect 'the babies of slaves' and is ill-suited to its modern use.

He wrote: "Birthright Citizenship was not meant for people taking vacations to become permanent Citizens of the United States of America, and bringing their families with them, all the time laughing at the “SUCKERS” that we are!

"The United States of America is the only Country in the World that does this, for what reason, nobody knows — But the drug cartels love it!"

He continued in his rant that the US is a 'stupid country,' writing: "We are, for the sake of being politically correct, a STUPID Country but, in actuality, this is the exact opposite of being politically correct, and it is yet another point that leads to the dysfunction of America.

"As conclusive proof, the Civil War ended in 1865, the Bill went to Congress less than a year later, in 1866, and was passed shortly after that," he continued. "It had nothing to do with Illegal Immigration for people wanting to SCAM our Country, from all parts of the World, which they have done for many years. It had to do with Civil War results, and the babies of slaves who our politicians felt, correctly, needed protection.

"Please explain this to the Supreme Court of the United States. Again, remember, the Civil War ended in 1865, and the Bill goes to Congress in 1866 — We didn’t have people pouring into our Country from all over South America, and the rest of the World. It wasn’t even a subject.

"What we had were the BABIES OF SLAVES. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Good luck with this very important case. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.!"

The blustering statement comes as the Supreme Court is preparing to debate whether the POTUS can end the right while Trump claims the judges do not have the power to block presidential orders that apply to the whole country.

A justice department official added that such injunctions 'fundamentally thwart' Trump's plans to deliver on certain policies, further claiming it is a 'direct attack' on the administration, reports BBC.
