Ice-T has revealed that his young daughter still sleeps in bed with him and his wife.

The legendary rapper has three children, with daughter Letesha Marrow, 47, and son Tracy Marrow Jr, who is 31, being his eldest kids from previous relationships.

And there is a fairly big age gap with his youngest child, Chanel Nicole Marrow, seven, who he shares with current partner Coco Austin.

Speaking on the 'That Moment With Daymond John' podcast, the hip hop icon - real name Tracy Lauren Marrow - reflected on his parenting style.

He admitted that his career had caused him to be a little more distant from Letesha and Tracy, but that he was trying much harder to be present for his youngest child.

Ice then explained that he was actually much closer to Chanel as a result.

"I am so much more connected to her than my other kids," the 65-year-old said.

“I was there when Coco was pregnant, I went to the hospital and Chanel still sleeps in the bed with us.

"I’m comfortable [now]. I’m in a cruise pattern."

And while some may think that having another child in your later years would be difficult, Ice said that it was a 'reset' and a 'beautiful thing'.

“It made me create new goals. ‘Cause you got bread, you could start slowing down. But nah, not that new baby,” he said. “It’s the best gift I could ever get.”

He'd previously told E! News that having Chanel had inspired him to get healthy, adding: "I’ve got grown kids. Now I’ve got a new daughter and I’m so focused with her. It’s just amazing. It’s a great thing.

"And you’ve gotta have a reason for living, you’ve gotta have motivation. Chanel is my new motivation.”

This comes a few months after Coco received some backlash on social media over her parenting skills.

Last year, the 44-year-old posted a photo of Chanel washing in the sink, and some people really didn't like it.

Taking to Twitter, Coco hit back, saying it was 'what works' for her and that she wasn't going to change.

"Wow just Wow! Here we go again!" she wrote. "Giving my lil girl a bath in the sink went Viral? SMH!

"People, you gotta know by now that I’m an unconventional mother. I do what works and is easier on me. Some may want to take some pointers rather than rag on me!"

Following the post, many came out and backed her decision.

One user said: "Being a parent isn't easy! So, you do what's best for you and your family. Why are they judging you for making your life a little bit easier.

"When I saw this post, I believe last week I didn't see anything wrong with it! I think we've all washed are children in the kitchen sink!"

While another commented: "Chanel is adorable and looks like she's having fun! Ignore those haters."
