McDonald’s is giving out free fries every Friday for the rest of the year

The offer is running through the McDonald's app every Friday

McDonald's is offering free fries to customers every Friday in a special offer.

Yes, you read that right. You can indeed head to the fast food outlet and claim free fries in a new offer called 'Free Fries Friday'. Try saying that ten times quickly.

So, how exactly can you claim your free fries?

Well, Free Fries Friday runs from 27 October, and will continue on every week until December 29.

This will give you ten opportunities to take advantage of the opportunity before the offer expires.

But there's a catch - if you want to claim your free fries, you will need to do so via the McDonald's app, as that is the only place where the offer is available.

It's not available just by walking into a restaurant, or by a third party app such as JustEat or UberEats.

Another thing to bear in mind is that the free fries deal is only available once per day, so you can't go ordering mountains of fries.

Also, if you use this offer on any given Friday, then it's the only offer that you can use that day, it can't be combined with anything else.

When you open the app on a Friday where the offer is in place, you will be prompted if you would like free fries. It can also be found by going to the deals tab.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you must have a minimum purchase of $1 in order to use the offer.

So, to recap briefly, it's only on the app, only on Fridays, you can do it once a day, you have to order at least $1, and it's the only offer you can use on that day.

Aside from that, fill your boots!

This isn't the first time that McDonald's has run an offer for free fries at their restaurants. They previously ran an offer for free fries back in July for National French Fry Day, which is a thing, apparently.

Prior to that in January they ran an offer on chicken nuggets as a way to mark the 40th anniversary of the iconic menu item.

The chain also sold its trademark cheeseburger for just 50 cents a go last month as a way to commemorate National Cheeseburger Day, which apparently is also a thing.

The offer seems like a good way to get an extra side order, or even just some fries and a drink if you only fancy a snack.
