Woman claims she was forced to change outfit at Disneyland after breaking key rule

She had dressed up as Wanda Maximoff

A woman has gone viral on TikTok since claiming that she was forced to change her outfit after being dress-coded at Disneyland.

The theme-park goer, who posted under the name namelessalexa, said that she was made to change by Disneyland staff after unknowingly breaking one key rule.

"I got dress-coded for my Wanda outfit at Disneyland yesterday so had to make some quick changes," Alexa said in the now-viral video.

In her before and after pictures, she can be seen dressed up as Marvel's Wanda Maximoff in the first image.

This involved wearing a crown, which she was allegedly forced to remove, although she was allowed to continue wearing her crop top, gloves and Doc Martens.

"So ridiculous," Alexa said. "I bought red Docs just for the occasion."

She also added in the video's caption: "aint no one stopping from wearing my wanda outfit."

The content creator later wrote in the comments: "I told another worker what the one said before and he said "that's BS I've seen many people wearing that headpiece" so i was chillin

"I also wore it the rest of the day and not a single person gave me trouble so."

Alexa claims she was forced to change her outfit.

One viewer said that the parks likely prevents adults from dressing up so that no one is mistaken for their paid character actors.

They wrote: "Wasn't the reason for the dress code because you'll be mistaken for the character? That's what I've heard. I don't know if it's true."

A second questioned: "why did I think someone dress coded you at Disneyland for showing off midriff aslkshsdh [sic]."

Meanwhile, a third suggested that the woman should have never been dress coded as her outfit wasn't full cosplay.

They wrote: "you should only be dress coded (as an adult) for having full cosplay of the characters. plenty wear ears etc."

This is something which Alexa agreed with, remarking: "yea exactly like I went in thinking the headpiece was comparable to the mouse ears everyone wears."

A fourth agreed, claiming: "i used to be a disneyland CM and 100% wouldn't have said anything. someone was on a power trip [sic]."

And a fifth went on to say: "they wanna save the magic but not letting adults wear harmless costumes ruins the magic for them too it's not all about the kids [sic]."

As stated on their website, Disneyland wrote: "Costumes may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older"

The website further adds that inappropriate outfits may warrant in 'refusal of admittance or ejection'.
