Tito Jackson made chilling final social media post just days before his death

Michael Jackson's brother and fellow Jackson 5 bandmate Tito has died at the age of 70

Tito Jackson shared a moving Instagram post in the days leading up to his death.

It was announced yesterday (September 15) that the Jackson 5 star has died at the age of 70.

Tito's passing came as an apparent shock to his family, with his children penning a heartfelt statement online to share the news.

His sons TJ, Taj and Taryll wrote on Instagram: "It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us.

"We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being."

From the looks of Tito's social media, the singer had still been performing in the days leading up to his death and recently visited Munich, Germany, with his siblings Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon.

While there, the band visited a mural that had been made to honor their late brother and Jackson 5 bandmate Michael.

Sharing a photo of them at the mural, Tito - whose full name was Toriano Adaryll Jackson - penned to Instagram four days ago: "Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson.

"We're deeply grateful for this special place that honors not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive."

People have been quick to send their condolences to Tito's family in the wake of his passing.

"Sending condolences from my family to your family," someone wrote on his sons' moving social media post. "Your Father was a great man, who will be missed and loved forever. Blessings always."

"So sorry for your loss. He’s dancing with Michael again," said another.

A third went on: "Praying for you all. So sorry for your profound loss. Heartbreaking news."

A different person penned: "My condolences to the family. Had the honor to meet him back in 2019, a great person. May he rest in peace."

Tito's cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed, but Steve Manning, a friend of Tito and former Jackson family manager, told Entertainment Tonight that he believes his death was due to a heart attack he suffered while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma.

Tito and his siblings were due to play in Atlantic City and Cincinnati next month, but it's likely these will be canceled following the singer's unexpected passing.
