Country singer LeAnn Rimes has shared of her 'utter embarrassment' after her teeth fell out during a recent show.

The 42-year-old, from Jackson, Mississippi, was on the second day of her tour when her veneers popped out, which resulted in her running temporarily off stage, at the Skagit Valley Casino Resort in Bow, Washington, on Saturday (June 21).

However, instead of storming off in tears - which would be an understandable reaction - she stepped out for a second, went to the side of the stage, slipped them back in, and insisted that the show must go on!

Now, Rimes, who boasts of more than five million monthly listeners on Spotify, has taken to Instagram to detail exactly what happened.

"Okay, we're going to do a little story time about how the show must go on - and this is the most epic example of how the show must go on," she shared with her 1.1 million followers on the social media platform.

"So last night, I was on stage in the middle of 'One Way Ticket [(Because I Can)]' - [the name of one of her songs]. I feel something pop in my mouth - and if you've been around, you know, I've had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front - and it fell out in the middle of my song last night, to which I panicked and in the middle I said, 'Hold on'.

"And I ran to the side of the stage and put it back in - like, popped it back in - and then just went on singing. And then I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening, or else I would have had to walk off stage."

Rimes continued: "So for the rest of the show, I was literally like this - pushing my teeth in like every couple lines and singing; which, by the way, I never knew how many e-f-s and th-s and sh-s that I have in my songs, especially 'Can't Fight the Moonlight'.

"Like 'Can't Fight the Moonlight', they like completely put a game in my mouth. It was the most epic experience ever. I don't usually have firsts in my career, that was a first and hopefully a last.

"I hope my teeth stay in tonight, we shall see. The front row, get ready for something to fly out, yeah - if you catch them, please return them. You know, good times, just keeping it real out here with you, just as real as I had to last night."

Fans have since raved over her performance, with one person hailing her 'professionalism' while describing her as 'outlaw country toughness in a sequin dress'.

Rimes added: "And you know what? Like I said, there wasn't a f***ing thing I can do about it, except either walk off or just to hold my teeth in and sing. So I just ran with it.

"In case, you know, anybody has an issue on stage ever and feels embarrassed by it, just watch this video again, and it'll remind you that the show can go on even in the midst of sheer, utter, embarrassment. You just gotta be real with people!

"S'all good, they're in for now."
