The husband of Brazilian singer Luna Alves has shared details of his final moments with his wife before she died suddenly in her apartment in the city of Cuiabá.
Luna was just 39-years-old when she passed away on Sunday (August 10), after performing a gig alongside her husband, Guilherme Schreiner, earlier that evening.
The singer seemed in good spirits after the performance and took to Instagram to share a video message with her thousands of followers.
In the post, she told her fans she was 'going to sleep', but wanted to first 'thank God immensely, from the bottom of my heart, for the gift of life, for the gift of [her] voice'.

"I am truly grateful," Luna continued, according to a translation reported by Soap Central. "Only Him, only Him and I, deep within. And the people who work with me, and the contractors, friends, partners, the people who like my work."

"It's great that you do work where people praise you, where people like what you do," Luna continued. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart... I received so many compliments, so many good things, so many requests granted today.
"I just have to thank you. And that's it. May God bless you and me. Kisses."

Schreiner, who spoke to G1 following the death of his wife, recalled that the couple 'started watching videos' and then went to sleep.
He said Luna had being 'doing great' at about 1:40am, but just a few hours later, around 5:10am, he 'heard her feeling unwell in bed'.
"[I] got up to call emergency services. The doctor stayed on the line with me, helping me. Emergency services didn't stay long, but unfortunately, they pronounced her dead," Schreiner said.
According to G1, Luna's cause of death was determined to be a heart attack, as confirmed by her death certificate.

“I love you forever, mom. My Lucinha," she wrote.
Schreiner also honored his wife on social media, writing: "I lost a woman, I lost a partner. I just ask God for strength to be able to carry on. I love you."

Schreiner told G1 that as well as performing as a singer, Luna made a living by working in the administration area at an agro-industrial company.
He said her bosses were supportive of her career, adding: "She had this dream of being recognized nationally, but she also made it clear that she would be happy just singing, regardless of where she was."
