Chrissy Teigen has spoken candidly about her Ozempic for the first time, but despite her honesty, she has been branded as 'tone deaf' by fans.
Teigen opened up about her usage of the drug, which a few celebrities have admitted to using to aid with weight loss, on Magic Pill author Johann Hari's podcast, Self-Conscious.
"With these new weight loss drugs, it feels like we've unleashed a genie in a bottle that's granting everyone the exact same wish. And I'm not here to judge. I've done it. Most of my friends are on it," the model said.
Teigen, who is married to John Legend, revealed that she decided to take Ozempic after the loss of her son, Jack, in 2020, at 20 weeks.

In 2022, she later opened up about her son's passing, saying that she'd come to realise that his death was an abortion, not a miscarriage, as she had to make 'difficult and heartbreaking' decisions after learning he wouldn't survive.
"It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn't either without any medical intervention," she said, adding that she'd come to accept the procedure as 'an abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance'.
In her podcast, the 39-year-old said her body was 'completely stuck' as she'd 'really let herself indulge when she was pregnant'.

"So, when I had lost that baby at 20 weeks, I had probably gained an extra 40 pounds that I wasn't comfortable with," Teigen said.
While she didn't specify when she'd taken Ozempic, the mother-of-four said that she took it for a year with 'no results', but 'all of a sudden, I was finally able to lose the weight that was so reminding me of the baby that I had lost'.
In an Instagram promo for her episode, she wrote: "I first started taking Ozempic after the loss of our Jack - there I was, existing in a body that didn’t feel like mine, with absolutely nothing to celebrate - just the constant reminder that this body that once carried life for 20 weeks, was now just a…sad reminder."
While the majority of people applauded the star's candid remarks, some were at odds with her.

"I’m sorry I love you but this is incredibly tone deaf (which is why no one talks about it)," one person commented. "I really appreciate your content most of the time but complaining about this is something you do with friends, not on a public forum."
A second added that she should 'just be thankful it is an option for you'.
However, someone else lauded her as 'brave' for speaking out on the subject, as they continued: "You are brave, witty, relatable, honest…Thank you for 'being real' and sharing many of your experiences with the masses, regardless of judgment or backlash.

"The good you do is BIGGER than the critics, please always remember that."
Novo Nordisk, who manufacture Ozempic, told UNILAD: "Patient safety is of the utmost importance to Novo Nordisk. We recommend patients take these prescription medications only for their approved indications and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
"We continuously collect safety data on our marketed GLP-1 medicines and work closely with the authorities to ensure patient safety. We recommend that any patient experiencing side effects while taking GLP-1 RA medicines, including Wegovy and Ozempic (semaglutide injection), report them to their healthcare provider and via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme."
