Jane's Addiction have decided to break up more than a year after two band members had an explosive fight during a concert in Boston.
Despite coming together to 'resolve our differences', the rock band have decided to embark on 'separate and musical endeavours' moving forward.
The incident on September 13 last year saw lead man Perry Farrell suddenly explode with anger and punch his guitarist, Dave Navarro, in front of the stunned crowd.
Farrell was said to be swearing into his mic before he decided he’d had enough and took out his frustrations on Navarro, while the guitarist could be seen putting his arm between himself and Farrell.

After the show had been canceled, crew members rushed onto the stage and grabbed the singer to prevent further altercations from happening. But at this point, Farrell had been restrained and dragged from the stage by the crew and Eric Avery, the bass player.

The on-stage scrap brought an end to Jane's Addiction's tour, and the rock band have now officially gone their separate ways.
Jane's Addiction said in a statement posted to Instagram: "We would like to clarify the events surrounding the cancellation of the tour after the show in Boston in
September 2024.
"After that show, without notice to Perry, we unilaterally determined it would be best to not continue the tour and made inaccurate statements about Perry's mental health which we regret.
The statement continued with the band saying how they hope to maintain the 'legacy' of the band despite them splitting up.
"Today we are here to announce that we have come together one last time to resolve our differences, so that the legacy of Jane's Addiction will remain the work the four of us created together," the statement continued.
"We now look forward to the future as we embark on our separate musical and creative endeavors. Jane's Addiction will forever live in our hearts. We are proud of the music we created together.
"You, the fans, are our lifeblood, and we will always appreciate."
Farrell has since issued a joint statement with Jane's Addiction and issued an apology for the on-stage bust-up.

“I’d like to address what happened on stage last year,” the 66-year-old said. "I’ve reflected on it and know I didn’t handle myself the way I should have.
"I apologize to our patrons and my bandmates for losing my temper and for disrupting the show."
The statement continued: "My aim has always been to give our audience the best possible show, something real, honest and positive.
