Shakira fans are flooding to social media in excitement after the singer made a surprise announcement at Coachella.

Not only were 'Waka Waka' lovers overjoyed to simply see Shakira after she unexpectedly took to the stage at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California yesterday (12 April), but they were also in for even more of a treat when she gave a long-awaited update to crowds.

DJ Bizarrap took to the stage at the 23rd Coachella Valley Music festival and who should join him to perform La Fuerte and BZRP Music Sessions, Vol 53?

Why collaborator on the song Shakira, of course.

The 47-year-old took to the stage wearing a red and yellow glittery outfit with matching boots and during her performance with DJ Bizarrap, the screen behind her changed revealing a surprise announcement for fans.

The background read: "Shakira, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour."

She told the crowds: "Finally, we are going on tour. Starting here, this November in this city, can’t wait."

And it's not taken long for fans to flood to social media in surprise and excitement - and that's putting it lightly.

One X user said: "Me texting the gc that Shakira showed up at Coachella AND THAT SHE IS GPING ON TOUR."

"SHAKIRA JUST ANNOUNCED SHÉS STARTING HER NEW TOUR THIS SUMMER AFTER HER SURPRISE APPEARANCE AT COACHELLA WTF," another added.

A third commented: "Shakira just announced her world tour at #Coachella!!!! YESSSSS!!!!"

And a fourth resolved: "We are so beyond ready! We have been waiting for this moment!"

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is the twelfth studio album from Shakira which came out last month (March).

It was her first album release in seven years and so news of a tour has been eagerly awaited by fans.

Shakira's Coachella appearance and announcement follows the day after she posted a message on her Instagram in Spanish, reading: "La loba se viene…" - Meaning 'The wolf is coming'.

Shakira also took to her page after her Coachella performance, writing: "So stoked to finally announce that LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN WORLD TOUR is happening! Can’t wait to be back on stage partying and celebrating with my wolfpack!

"Dates coming up soon - register for info / pre-sale access now! Auuuuuuuuuuuuuu! #LMYNLWT."

So 'She Wolf' fans better keep their eyes peeled for further updates.
