There's still time to be a part of the crowd at Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine Tour, but a financial expert has issued an urgent warning for anyone buying resale tickets.

As fans will know, the singer is kicking off her huge world tour on this side of the pond with shows set to take place in the likes of California, New York, and Illinois.

Due to unprecedented demand, tickets sold out instantly, and resale is now your only option: TicketNetwork, StubHub, and Viagogo.

But you should always be careful when purchasing resale tickets online.

"When it comes to a sought after event or concert, everyone is keen to get a good price," Sarah Lenette, financial crime specialist at Starling Bank, warns. "Online resales can be a thrifty way to do this, but they are also a great way for scammers to catch out customers who have their guards down.

To protect yourself, make sure you’re aware of the red flags. Remember that as much as you want to go to the concert, your money is really important, so think carefully before making any rash decisions."

According to Lenette, you should follow the below resale tips to stay safe when purchasing resale tickets online:

  • Check the price: If the price is a lot lower than it would be if you were purchasing from an official retailer, make sure to double check that it's a verified source.
  • Never buy through social media: You will never know if tickets available on social media are legitimate and often, people are turned away from the event as a consequence of buying fake tickets. Scammers can also use hacked social media accounts to offer non-existent tickets online. So, even if you see a friend or family member selling a ticket, always be cautious. Scammers can hack into social media accounts to try and sell non-existent tickets.
  • Always check the URL: Some sophisticated fake websites may appear to be the site you’re intending to browse. Look out for any misspellings in the URL. It's also unusual for a retail website to use '.org' or '.net' domains.
  • Think about how you pay: Avoid paying by bank transfer, as it can be difficult for your bank to get your money back if something goes wrong.

With that in mind, where can you still buy verified resale tickets, and how much do they cost? Find out everything you need to know about the Eternal Sunshine Tour below.
