Doja Cat claps back at criticism of head-to-toe gold Paris Fashion Week look

"There are absolutely 0 rules and if there were you wouldn't be the one making them"

Most know that if you try and roast Doja Cat you'll end up getting destroyed – clearly this person didn't get the memo.

Earlier this week, the 'Kiss Me More' singer headed to Paris Fashion Week where she was seen with her body and face covered in gold paint.

While many fans chose to praise the star's look and the makeup artist behind it, Laurel Charleston, some people weren't so kind.

Over on Twitter, one wrote: "This paint is making her look ugly. When you do make up like this you still need to accentuate features. She look like a tired old statue lmao."

Doja sharpened her claws and penned a perfect response to the naysayer, sharing a screenshot of the reply in a separate tweet.

"I wasn't trying to look sexy or attractive," she wrote. "All of my makeup has a story and there are absolutely 0 rules and if there were you wouldn't be the one making them."

Ouch.

The rapper also explained that the app wouldn't let her hit reply so that's why she was sharing a screenshot instead.

Plenty of people agreed with Doja's sentiment, with one writing: "People need to realize that not everything is meant to sexy or have sex appeal."

Another said, "Y’all love to hate when people express themselves. Especially when they don’t fit the mold you made up in your head. Parasocial and weird behavior. Leave Doja alone."

"You were serving art baby," added a third. "It's their loss that they can see or understand that."

And that's not the only time Doja defended herself this week, having served a whole bunch of unique looks at Paris Fashion Week.

Under a compilation of some of the looks, another person wrote, "Some hits and some misses but that’s how it is if you take fashion risks! props to her tho."

Although the comment was mostly complimentary, Doja sniffed out the sly dig there and responded: "i have no misses. everything i have done for fw has been exactly how i wanted it."

One day people will learn not to mess with the queen.

Despite a few haters, a lot of people loved Doja's gold look, which was worn at the A.W.A.K.E. Mode runway show.

"This is absolutely stunning," wrote one commenter. "You look so ethereal... Powerfully elegant. Dignified and solemnly divine."
