Prime Video has 95% rated series viewers 'binge in one day' as final season nears

'An engrossing, spine-chilling, labyrinthine rollercoaster of a rabbit hole'

Prime Video subscribers have access to a 95 per cent rated thriller series with a third season on the way.

The platform is home to some must-watch TV shows, including an 'unforgettable' British series and a show with a 'perfect ending.'

And fans of psychological mysteries and high-stakes drama in particular have plenty to enjoy - including this two-season series, which is set to return anytime for its third and final instalment.

With a star-studded cast and already backed by critics, the Amazon Prime Video original is bound to deliver a spell-binding ending.

The show centres on Lucy Chambers (Jessica Raine), a social worker who awakens every night at exactly 3:33 am, plagued by visions and premonitions.

As if she's not already got enough on her plate, her young son Isaac (Benjamin Chivers) is emotionally withdrawn, her mom speaks to an empty chair, and Lucy finds herself inexplicably linked to a series of brutal murders in her hometown. She's drawn to find the culprit - no matter the cost.

The series in question is called The Devil's Hour, after the time Lucy wakes up each night.

The cast also includes Doctor Who's Peter Capaldi, Nikesh Patel, Ted Lasso's Phil Dunster, and Meera Syal.

It scored an impressive 95 per cent score by Rotten Tomatoes critics, who said in their consensus: "Creepy and well-acted, The Devil's Hour is a superlative horror series that will have viewers doubting reality as much as its haunted characters."

Meanwhile, fans scored it 88 per cent, as one said: "From the opening scene, it is evident that everyone involved got the assignment. Brilliantly edited with highly creative scene transition that move the story along effectively between timelines."

A second described the debut season as 'an engrossing, spine-chilling, labyrinthine rollercoaster of a rabbit hole,' while another social media user added: "This series is probably the best ever made, and is criminally underrated."

The show's first run of episodes dropped in October 2022, while its second aired in October 2024.

Prime Video confirmed back then that its third season had already been filmed, with production wrapping before season two had even aired.

Yet there's been no official word on a release date yet - only speculation.

Following its two-year drop, it could very well be that the show will land in October 2026.

But hopeful fans are reckoning it will land even sooner, with one speculative report slating its release for 17 October 2025, though this remains unconfirmed.

I guess we'll have to wait and see...
