Former Nickelodeon star Allie Dimeco opens up about being forced to kiss older man as a teen on set

Another Nickelodeon star has come forward.

Another former child star has spoken out on mistreatment on the set of a Nickeloden show after revealing she was forced to kiss a 30-year-old man when she was ‘14 or 15’.

Nickelodeon alldum Allie DiMeco has spoken out in a TikTok about her time on the show The Naked Brothers Band after watching the documentary Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

The doc revealed concerning backstage behavior alleged to have taken place at Nickelodeon, including harrowing accounts of child abuse from Drake & Josh star Drake Bell.

Dimeco starred in the 2007 sitcom The Naked Brothers Band alongside Nat and Alex Wolff, with the show following the pair as they start a band.

Dimeco recently spoke on TikTok about her time on the show, and how it contributed to her eventually leaving acting.

The 31-year-old former child star said that whilst watching Quiet on Set, it reminded her of an incident in the filming of her own show.

Whilst playing Rosalina, a love interest for main character Nat, she was made to kiss another character played by a man in his 30s - something she now describes as 'trauma she went through'.

The footage she shows is shocking, with the age difference stark and obvious between the two.

She said she did not want to kiss him, saying: “He’s a 30-year-old man. I’m sorry, I couldn’t even watch it. It gives me f***ing the ick and it honestly gives me PTSD.

“I’m watching this Quiet on Set documentary and it’s talking about how integral and vital it is to create —especially when it’s a kids cast — to create an environment where kids feel comfortable to say ‘No’ or ‘I don’t feel comfortable with this.’

“And I’m like, yeah, maybe they do express that though, it’s also more important to create an environment that listens to the kids and actually does not make them do things when they don’t want to do them.

“They made me kiss this 30 plus-year-old man when I was like, what, 14, 15? I told them many times that I didn’t want to do it.

“My mom was very against it and they pretty much made me feel like I was going to lose my job, that I might be fired if I didn’t do it.”

In the comments underneath the post, Dimeco revealed the man who played the character wasn’t even an actor.

She said: “He was the backup guitarist for live shows and practiced with us in band practice and always wanted to be written in.”

In November, the Nickelodeon star posted another TikTok discussing why she left acting.

She said that, as a child actor, she had yet to have her first kiss.

When an episode was written around her and Nat kissing, she said she ‘freaked out’ and told them she didn’t want to do it.

“They threatened me that I would get fired, that I would never work again in this industry, that my career was over.

“There was a female producer who was very upset and looked at me and said, ‘You haven’t had your first kiss yet?’”

Dimeco claims the producer then grabbed and kissed her, saying ‘there, your first kiss is over. You had your first kiss, now go film.'

Nickelodeon have been contacted by UNILAD for comment.
