Jennifer Love Hewitt has finally addressed speculation that she has an ongoing feud with Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Celebrity feuds are not exactly uncommon, are they? Whether it be the ongoing dispute between Drake and Kendrick Lamar reaching the courts, or something a bit less dramatic, there's always something to talk about.
Speculation had become apparent in recent days after the original I Know What You Did Last Summer stars were not seen pictured together at the premiere of the reboot last week.
Fans had been hoping for a full cast reunion, after Gellar shared a photo she had taken on the set of the new film.

However, it's Hewitt and Gellar's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr, that appear in the reboot in a more prominent way with a small cameo.
Hewitt sat down with Vulture recently to discuss the feud speculation.

She said: "I honestly don’t even know what that was or how that all came to be.

“I just think people don’t want the narrative to be easy. Why do we always have to be against each other and out for each other?
"I haven’t seen Sarah. Literally, we’ve not talked since I saw her at 18 years old when the first movie came out."
The acting pair have seemingly not been in touch since 1990s when the original I Know What You Did Last Summer released.
Hewitt continued: "That’s why it’s so funny to me. People were like, ‘Say something back.’ And I’m like, ‘What am I going to say? I’ve not seen her'.

"On my side, we’re good. I have no idea where this is coming from."
Prinze Jr has also been speaking to the press amid the ongoing noise surrounding Hewitt and Gellar, and it's safe to say he's certainly put the speculation to bed.

He told Variety: "We run in different circles. I hadn't seen her since we wrapped the second movie in '98, but we care a lot about these characters, and it was all still there.

"After we finished that first scene, we had a chance to say, 'Oh, you have kids. And you have kids.'"
With the release of the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot now in theatres, Prinze Jr is looking forward to hopefully bringing in a new fanbase.
"Honestly, I think the first scene we share in this movie, where Ray and Julie confront the reality of their relationship, is the best work we've done," he addded.
"I'm really proud of it. Our director, Jenn Robinson, three-dimensionalized these characters."
