Jennifer Garner may be well known for being a mild-mannered sweetheart, but the 13 Going On 30 star has revealed she is hankering for a ‘physical fight’ with her longtime pal and co-star Judy Greer.

The pair famously locked horns in the iconic teen film back in 2004, as frenemies that came to blows in pursuit for career success.

Yet now, over twenty years later, the pair have once again joined forces in the Apple TV series The Last Thing He Told Me, and Garner didn’t hold back as she shared her one unexpected wish for the show’s future episodes.

"I would like to have a fight with Judy Greer, but a physical fight," Garner told Entertainment Weekly. "I would like to wipe the floor with her.”

The surprisingly violent admission came as Garner and her on-screen husband former Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau were conducting press for the second series of the hit thriller, with Coster-Waldau even revealing: "Yes! She mentioned that in the other room, and she was like, she's scared of you.”

"I know, I like that," Garner replied. "We've been friends a long time. I would like to fight her.”

Yet before anyone gets their hopes up for a bloodbath unfolding on screen, Garner did make sure to add that she didn’t have any plans to actually ‘hurt her.’

"She's like, ‘I would call my stunt double right away. I wouldn't even let you do it once’," Garner says of Greer, before going on to add: “Aww, no, she'd be okay. I wouldn't have hurt her.”

Garner plays Hannah in the Apple TV thriller, which is based on the Laura Dave novel of the same name, and follows the journey of Hannah Hall, who forms an unexpected relationship with her stepdaughter as she searches for her husband who recently disappeared.

The second season picks up where season one left off, with Owen (Coster-Waldau) showing up after five years on the run, and Hannah and his daughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) struggling to reunite their family before the skeletons in their closet emerge and cause chaos.

For this season, fans of the book will already know that Greer’s introduction as Quinn Campano, the eldest daughter of the Campano crime family, is going to complicate matters - which makes the future prospect of a fight not as unthinkable as you might expect.

Away from the drama unfolding on screen, Garner and Greer’s friendship couldn’t be further from the antagonist relationship fans will be introduced to this series, with Garner sharing that it was ‘a real joy’ to reunite with her former co-star after two decades. "I mean, it was hard to do, but a real joy. And I got to watch Judy and Angourie [together], which was incredible, and Judy and Luke [Kirby, who plays Quinn's brother, Teddy], I mean those two together. He's so good. They're so good.”

The eight-episode second season of The Last Thing He Told Me will debut Friday February 20 on Apple TV with new episodes dropping each week.
