There are tons of Easter eggs in Adam Sandler's new movie that only eagle-eyed fans have spotted.
In case you missed it, Happy Gilmore 2 landed on the streaming platform Netflix on Friday (July 25) and viewers have already pointed out its jam-packed with surprises.
It's been almost three decades since Sandler first graced our screens as Happy and now, the golf pro is back again as we see the character return to his beloved sport to pay for his daughter's ballet school.
As well as Sandler, his 1996 co-stars Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald have also returned to the screen for the movie, playing Virgina Venit and Shooter McGavin.

But fans have also pointed out an array of famous faces that feature in the film, including real-life sports stars, pro golfers and some of Hollywood's greats - as well as Sandler's real-life family.

Here are just some of those Easter eggs that viewers have spotted so far.
Happy goes on Saturday Night Live
The start of the film sees Happy appear on Saturday Night Live during the peak of his golf stardom.

Viewers say this references the fact that Sandler himself was once a cast member on the sketch show in the early 1990s and was even nominated for an Emmy when he returned as a host in 2019.
Sandler's family
Throughout the film, viewers are treated to more than just one Sandler as his wife, Jackie, and two daughters, Sunny and Sadie, also make an appearance.
Sunny takes on the role as Happy's only daughter, Vienna, while Jackie plays her dance instructor while Sadie plays as a member of Happy's 'Alkies for Life' program.

In a heartwarming moment at the end of the movie, Sadie tells Happy: "You remind me of my dad."
Sandler's cousin, Jane Sandler, mom, Judy, and even in the in-laws, brother-in-law, Christopher Titone and mother-in-law, Lila Titone, also get their time to shine in the movie, too.

Tribute to Cameron Boyce
Although the late 20-year-old actor didn't appear in Happy Gilmore, Boyce was Sandler's onscreen son in the comedy movie Grown Ups.

Boyce tragically died in his sleep due to complications with epilepsy in 2019 and Sandler made sure to pay homage to him by including a sneaky clip of him in the movie.
While Happy is approaching a check-in desk, the person working behind the desk is apparently watching an episode of Disney's Jessie, which showcases a specific clip of Boyce.
Nods to the dead
And it isn't just Boyce who the movie honors, with further nods to the stars of the first movie who have since passed away.

In one tongue-in-cheek scene, Shooter and Happy can be seen fighting over the graves of Bob Barker, Chubbs (played by Carl Weathers), grandma (played by Frances Bay) and Donald 'Jacka**!' Floyed (played by Joe Flaherty).
Eminem
In the first movie, Joe Flaherty's character heckles happy by relentlessly calling him a 'jacka**'.
After the star's death in 2024, Happy Gilmore 2 invited a huge celebrity name, rapper Eminem, to don a beard and hat to keep the joke alive.

Chubbs' son
Carl Weathers, who played the beloved character Chubbs Peterson, died last year and although his character too had died in the OG 1996 movie, Happy Gilmore 2 had to pay homage to him in some way.
As well as the graveyard scene, the movie sees his son Slim, played by Lavell Crawford, make an appearance - and similarly has just one hand just like his old man.

While Chubbs famously lost his hand in an alligator attack, Slim lost his in a vending machine accident.
Other famous faces
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Sandler said: "When someone's doing a cameo, they're coming by, giving their time, and you want them to have a fun time and make it worth their while.
"Nobody didn't bring the full-tilt A-game. We wrote stuff. They came up with stuff. There's a million athletes in the movie from every sport. Every golfer I love is in it. Of course, Travis [Kelce] is incredibly talented. Bad Bunny never stops being funny."

He added: "No matter what, no matter who was in the movie, it was an exciting day. It was just whatever scene we were shooting, we were like, 'Holy cow, we're going to be hanging out with John Daly today.' Holy cow. There's just so many people that made it exciting."
