29 years after Happy Gilmore hit theaters and we've finally got the sequel we've all been waiting for.
While Sandler has been in the Hollywood business since the 1980s, it was arguably Happy Gilmore that well and truly put him on the map.
Released in February 1996, the cult classic stars the likes of Modern Family favorite Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and the late Carl Weathers, who died last year at the age of 76.

Of course, Bowen and McDonald have returned to reprise their roles of Virginia and Shooter for the long-awaited sequel, while a host of other famous faces have joined the line-up for Happy Gilmore 2.
From Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny, to Margaret Qualley and Ben Stiller, it's safe to say that Sandler wasted no time in getting some big names tied to the project.
Check out the trailer here:
With the the first Happy Gilmore being a fan favorite, millions of people will be rushing to Netflix today (July 25) to watch Sandler's highly anticipated sequel.
Undeniably, Sandler has a lot of classics under his belt from over the decades, but which are his best? To mark the release of Happy Gilmore 2, UNILAD RANKED took to Netflix Bangers to ask people their thoughts and the results are in...
5) Grown Ups (2010)
Imagine being pretty famous and rounding up all your closest pals to make a comedy movie — this is pretty much what Grown Ups is.

Like he does for many of his movies, Sandler recruited his friends Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider for this 2010 movie.
And the star-studded cast doesn't stop there; the likes of Maya Rudolph, Salma Hayek, and Steve Buscemi also feature in Grown Ups.

For anyone who has seen the film, I imagine its plot is what it would actually be like if Rock, James, Spade, Sandler, and Schneider went on a family vacation together.

A synopsis for Grown Ups via Rotten Tomatoes reads: "The death of their childhood basketball coach leads to a reunion for some old friends (Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock), who gather at the site of a championship celebration years earlier. Picking up where they left off, the buddies - with wives and children in tow - discover why age does not, necessarily, equal maturity."
Grown Ups might only have a measly 10 percent score on the review platform, but it garnered eight percent of the vote in our poll.
You can stream Grown Ups on Prime Video.
4) The Wedding Singer (1998)

Another person Sandler has collaborated with on a handful occasions is Drew Barrymore, The Wedding Singer being their first movie together.
Based in the 1980s (which you can very clearly see from Sandler's haircut in the film), the actor plays Robbie, a heartbroken wedding singer who was abandoned by his fiancée at the altar.
Cue Julia (Barrymore) who enlists Robbie to help her plan her wedding, but Robbie ends up falling in love with her and tries to derail her nuptials before it's too late.
Like Grown Ups, The Wedding Singer generated eight percent of our poll but in contrast to the 2010 movie, it has a much more impressive score on Rotten Tomatoes and boasts an 80 percent Audience Score.

This 90s classic is currently available to stream on Prime Video.
3) Big Daddy (1999)

Coming in third is Sandler's movie Big Daddy — the perfect example of a movie that panned with critics but it still a favorite for Sandler fans.

Boasting just 39 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer, this score is almost doubled audience-wise who have given it a more admirable 79 percent.
The 1999 comedy classic stars the Sprouse twins, Dylan and Cole, who were just six years old when the movie was made. Both Sprouses jointly played Julien, a young boy who is adopted by Sandler's character Sonny Koufax. Sonny does this to prove to his ex (who has just dumped him for an older man) that he's ready to grow up.
Big Daddy garnered nine percent of our Facebook vote in our poll, which nearly 350 people voted in.
2) 50 First Dates (2004)

Another Barrymore-Sandler classic link up is 50 First Dates. In the film, Barrymore plays Lucy, who suffers with short-term memory loss, meaning she doesn't remember what happened the day before. With this in mind, Henry (Sandler) has to woo Lucy each day.
50 First Dates scores 6.8/10 on IMDb, where one reviewer said of the 2000s rom-com: "50 First Dates is a very funny movie and for Sandler its one of his best."
The gushing review continued: "What makes this movie work is the chemistry between Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler since they work so great together and make the film fun."
I mean, nobody can deny that Barrymore and Sandler make a great duo on screen. Where can you watch 50 First Dates, I hear you ask? Prime Video, of course.
1) Happy Gilmore (1996)

Winning the vote by a landslide was Happy Gilmore, which 21 percent of voters chose as their favorite Sandler movie of all time — fitting to say that its sequel lands on Netflix today.
Happy Gilmore is budding sports fan who wanted to be a professional hockey player, but goes on to find he has quite a talent for golf instead.
With this in mind he enters a gold tournament in a bid to win the cash prize that could help him pay for his grandmother's home that she's at risk of losing.
While undeniably talented, Happy's controversial golf course etiquette isn't welcomed by his up-tight competitors.

Backing people's votes, Happy Gilmore is one of Sandler's highest ranking movies on Rotten Tomatoes.
While the sequel is now streaming on Netflix, the first film (you guessed it) is on Prime Video to stream.
