A TikToker has shared what the cast of Friends in an original episode look like with an ageing filter on and it's freaking people out.

If you needed to be reminded just how old you are, then take a look at this old episode of Friends - the sitcom having finished coming up to 20 years ago now. *Gulps*

And if you wanted to see what you're going to look like when even older and how realistic the Snapchat ageing filter is in predicting how you'll look, then you've also come to the right place.

A TikToker decided to use the 'Time Machine' filter on all the Friends' cast and it shows just how accurate the filter really is. Prepare to immediately grab your phone, try the filter on yourself and have a little cry:

The TikTok video - posted by user @saniezehraa - first reveals Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe.

The screen is split into two, the unfiltered Kudrow on the bottom and aged Kudrow at the top - with the top image looking eerily like how Kudrow actually looks to this day.

Next up is Matt LeBlanc a.k.a. Joey, who gets a bit more of a targeting by the filter, the effect turning his hair grey alongside adding a few classic wrinkles to his face here and there.

Matthew Perry (Chandler) and David Schwimmer (Ross) are aged next and it's as if we're pretty much looking at a recent photographs of the pair.

However, Jennifer Aniston doesn't really make the cut in the video, viewers only getting a brief glimpse as the filter pretty much passes over her face not editing much - but then again, considering she just doesn't appear to age, this is pretty accurate.

The post has amassed over six million views and half-a-million likes, with Friends fans flocking to the comments section to weigh in on the effect of the ageing filter.

One TikTok user said: "So Jennifer really doesn’t age. AI or real life."

"Phoebe and joey and ross are all so accurate," another added.

And a third commented: "This is very bad news for me."

"I don’t like this trend because it’s ACCURATE and I can’t look like the woman from the wood in 35 years I just CANT," while a fourth added.

    The results are scarily accurate.

Others offered reasons why the cast of Friends may look so good in the ageing filter and why the effect may be so accurate, specifically on them.

"I don't know about this, I feel like celebs/public figures might have been used as training data for the AI so of course it is accurate on them," a user suggested.

Another added: "I heard that the younger you look the more dramatic the filter makes you look which I am hopeful for because I currently look like Carole Baskin."
