Jennifer Aniston explains why she doesn't seem to age

The Friends star has explained how she still looks as young as she did in her first on-screen appearance.

Jennifer Aniston has been puzzling viewers for decades over how she continues to look so young and fresh-faced after years of gracing our screens with her presence.

Well, the Friends actor revealed to Vogue just what things she believes allow her to remain so youthful, from mantras and meditation to mindfulness and everything in between.

So, here's how she does it.

Rather than going for any celebrity brand deal sent her way, 54-year-old Aniston admits that her brand collaborations don't make the cut unless it's something she believes in and will use herself.

She told Vogue back in 2021: “I don’t want to be the face of something if it's not a part of my daily routine. That's really important to me,”

The actor has recently signed as Chief Creative Officer for health brand Vital Proteins. Aniston first discovered the brand seven years ago after her doctor suggested adding collagen supplements to her routine, which she says she has quickly seen results from.

“My joints, my nails, my hair, my skin everything just started to improve,” she added, noting our collagen production starts to decline as we age.

Aniston also admitted to not using her phone first thing in the morning, saying: "I don’t look at my phone for at least the first hour after waking up.

"The mental difference this makes impacts the whole day. I have my chargers in a drawer six feet away from my bed and I have a little iPod or iPhone from 1912 that I swiped clean and strictly use for my alarms and my sleep apps."

Another way Aniston has been taking care of her body and mind is by being mindful of what her eyes and ears ingest.

"During different parts of our last year I was just glued to what the daily movement was on the pandemic, or what Dr. Fauci was saying," she explained.

"But there were times I just needed to take a break from the news—and from getting on social media It's just so toxic."

The star added: "I understand the innocence of how it was birthed and the intention was to bring people together and create a social community.

"And that’s lovely, but you have to take the good with the bad—that people just sit there and throw emotional knives at other people on these platforms."

She also reaffirmed that ageing doesn't have to be a bad thing and it should be looked on positively, telling Vogue a fond memory from childhood.

"What my Mom used to say to me was, 'This is about longevity. It’s a privilege to grow old, but we don't have to grow sick'.

"It’s just sort of been a theme in my life: to enjoy the age I am and not look at aging as a negative, but as the privilege that it is. We all age!"
