Sophie Turner has revealed the moment she unintentionally caused a celebrity couple to break off their engagement.
While it's not clear who Turner was talking about, she explained on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week that she had been out with one of her friends when the drama unfolded.
“She saw this actor she, like, loved,” she explained, adding that although her friend begged her to say hello, she simply waved at him from across the room instead.
“That was it,” said Turner.

Later on in the evening, Turner saw someone staring at her and realised it was a high-profile actress.
“Later on, I see this girl looking at me, and she’s a famous actress. And I go, ‘I have to go and tell her how much she means to me'," she recalled.
Turner explained that when she approached the woman, she was taken aback at what she said to her.
Turner explained that she asked: “Can you stop f**king flirting with my fiancé?”
And when she asked who her fiancé was, she pointed at the man that Turner had waved at previously.
“I have no idea who this man is. Turns out, they broke their engagement off that night because of my [wave]. I didn’t realize I held this power," she admitted.
Turner said she couldn't reveal who the famous couple are, as she would be 'in trouble'.
The actress is currently dating Peregrine Pearson following her split from Joe Jonas in 2023.
Turner and Jonas ended their five-year marriage in September 2024 via divorce, claiming that their marriage was 'irretrievably broken'. The couple share two daughters, Willa, aged four and Dephanie, aged two.
Jonas and Turner were married from 2019 to 2023, after first connecting on social media in 2016. It was Jonas who filed for divorce in September 2023, which unfortunately led to a long custody battle.
Part of the reasoning was due to the different living locations of the parents.
While Turner is from the UK, Jonas is from New Jersey.
The pair finally agreed to have shared custody of their two daughters, meaning the kids can travel to and from the two countries on an equal basis.
The ex-couple announced this in a statement via Us Weekly in October 2023 that read: “After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK.”
