Sophie Turner has broken her silence and confirmed that she and Joe Jonas are divorcing.
In recent days, there had been much speculation about the Game of Thrones actor and the musician's relationship, with reports circulating about the couple being legal proceedings.
Though Turner had been silent on the matter, she has today (September 6) confirmed the news via Instagram.
In statement, she told fans: "After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

This news comes after Jonas filed for divorce at Miami Dade County Court on Tuesday (September 5).
The former spouses share two daughters together, one of whom was born last year.
In Jonas' petition for divorce, it says 'the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken'.
It also states that while their children have been living with Joe in Miami and other places most recently, 'it is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility'.
Prior to their 2019 marriage, the couple had also signed a pre-nup.
Turner has previously opened up about her anxiety issues and preferring to stay at home, while her husband likes to go out on the town.
During an interview with Conan O'Brien during the Covid-19 pandemic, Turner opened up about life during lockdown, claiming she enjoyed it.
She told the host: "I'm an introvert. I'm a homebody. If I could stay at home all day I would." Jonas, however, is the complete opposite.
"Everything seems to be working out in my favor here because Joe's a real social butterfly, so I struggle to lock him down and have him just spend time with me.
"It's like prison for him, but it's great for me."
Just days before the sad news broke, Turner was seen on a night out in Birmingham, UK.
It's unclear whether was a wrap party, however the 27-year-old was spotted partying in a video on Instagram.
Turner had recently been filming her new series Joan in the area for British broadcaster ITV before dropping into a local arcade bar, the Dropshot Digbeth.
The actor was also photographed with shots as she let off steam amid the divorce allegations.
