If you're the type of person who loves a tear-jerking romance, then this new Netflix series could just be for you.

There's many romance films and TVs shows on Netflix, but there's five in particular that have received the UNILAD seal of approval - one being the Nina Dobrev movie Love Hard.

While it has festive themes, it can arguably be watched all year round because it's just so damn good.

Elsewhere, there's Virgin River, a show that's so popular that it's currently filming its seventh season, Netflix confirmed in March.

But, there's a new Korean-language drama that's got people in tears and it boasts a very impressive perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.

Titled When Life Gives You Tangerines, the series follows the stories of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik, who hail from Jeju, South Korea.

The synopsis given for the limited series reads, as per Netflix: "In Jeju, a spirited girl and a steadfast boy's island story blossoms into a lifelong tale of setbacks and triumphs - proving love endures across time."

When Life Gives You Tangerines made its debut on the streaming platform in March and has gone on to become a domestic and global hit.

People who have watched the series from start-to-finish loved it so much that they've been taking to social media to rave about it.

While it's said to be brilliant, it sounds like you may need a box of tissues nearby for some of the more emotional scenes.

One viewer said on Twitter: "I got my mom to watch When Life Gives You Tangerines, and now I feel bad because apparently Aesun's life resembles her own life so much. She can't stop crying and I can't stop crying because she can't stop crying."

"This is the best ever k series," wrote someone else, as another person insisted that When Lives Gives You Tangerines 'deserves all the love'.

A second added: "I loved it so much! I was moved to tears!"

When Life Gives You Tangerines is available to stream on Netflix now.
