A biopic that’s broken into the top 10 movies on Netflix has been moving viewers to tears.

The 'powerful' Netflix drama has received a cult following among those that have watched it, with a number of fans even conceding to having created an account with IMDb just so that they could review the film.

"I literally created an account for the sole purpose of writing a review for this movie," wrote one IMDb user, who gave it a 10/10, before adding: "Do yourself a favor and go see this movie. You won't regret it."

The film is about the life of devout Christian singer Jeremy Camp and how he tragically lost his first wife Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, navigating his grief and faith.

The pair had wed in October 2000, but in February 2001, she tragically passed away aged just 21 after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

The Indiana-born musician wrote the hit song 'I Still Believe' shortly after Melissa's death. He has since gone on to re-marry and welcome two children into the world with his second wife, Adrienne Camp.

A decade on from Melissa's death, Camp published a book, titled I Still Believe, which details how he discovered hope during the darkest time of his life, and his journey to healing.

The movie to soar into the streaming platform's top 10 is an adaption of that book, with the film itself titled I Still Believe. Even though the movie came out in 2020, it has only this month been added to Netflix.

Fans on Twitter took to the platform in applause, with one user heartbreakingly even resonating with the grief Camp had experienced.

"Just finished watching Netflix and Jeremy Camps 'I Still Believe' wow what an incredible story that hits home. I experienced a similar thing with my wife 4 years ago," they typed.

Someone else added: "Check out 'I Still Believe' on Netflix Best movie ever!"

While a third penned: "If you haven’t watched the movie about the loss of Jeremy Camp’s first wife, 'I Still Believe', go watch it on Netflix. But grab tissues! It’s a crier."

Meanwhile, another Twitter user slapped it with a '10/10', with one viewer adding: "I watched a movie on Netflix called 'I Still Believe', which tells the story of Jeremy Camp. The message was powerful."

Interestingly, 47-year-old Camp actually visited set most days during shooting, which directors Andrew and Jon Erwin welcomed.

Speaking about his experiences during a discussion with ScreenRant in 2020, Camp said: "It was hard for me. There's moments that I had to walk out from the filming and just break down. It wasn't easy.

"But I would come back [home], and then I'm watching my family and going, 'Wow, but God, you've been so faithful. This is like the darkest part of my life, but now look what you've done'.

"I think there was a feeling of hope and a renewed sense of faith innocence."

I Still Believe is available to stream on Netflix now.
