‘Phenomenal’ Netflix thriller that viewers can’t believe people aren’t talking about

The second season of the apocalyptic thriller only came out on Netflix earlier this month, and it's already one of the viewers' favorites.

Netflix users are flooding to social media in awe of a 'thrilling' apocalyptic survival series.

While we all sit around impatiently waiting for news of Stranger Things' fifth and final season's release date, fear not, because there's another monstrous drama you can binge-watch to keep you going.

Prepare to add another series to your watch list:

Developed by Studio Dragon, the series stars the likes of Song Kang, Go Min-si, Lee Do-hyun and Go Yoon Jung.

The official synopsis according to Netflix reads: "As humans turn into savage monsters and the world plunges into terror, a handful of survivors fight for their lives — and to hold on to their humanity."

And not only that, but if you haven't heard of the series before, then you've got a whole two seasons to catch up on, with the first being released in 2020 and the second coming to Netflix earlier this month on December 1.

Netflix's synopsis of the most recent season states: "In a world where desire turns monstrous, [...] season two follows Green Home survivors and Hyun-su each fighting to survive in new places, while other beings and mysterious phenomena emerge."

The first season came to Netflix in 2020.

The series in question? South Korean series Sweet Home - based on the digital comic of the same name by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan.

A viewer took to LADbible's Facebook Group Netflix Bangers to share their love for the series, questioning 'why no one is talking here about' it.

Sharing the poster for the second season, the caption reads: "Season one was great. And just started the season two. It is perfect and has amazing scenes. Watching the 3rd episode of S2 right now."

The post has received over one thousand likes - with other viewers flooding to the comments to weigh in on the series.

One wrote: "Great show! I love it. Season three (the final) is coming in the summer. It’s a three 'act' series. Great cast!"

"It's incredible love it!!" another added.

However, a third commented: "Season one was great but season two.... Nah..... Hopefully season three director will focus on the core of the story line."

Viewers were raving about Sweet Home.

"Absolutely love this show can't wait for season three. Season one was amazing and season two was phenomenal," a fourth noted.

And a fifth resolved: "I loved it saw it when season one came out first day season two is awesome can’t wait for the 3rd."

And if that isn't enough to make you want to try Sweet Home out, then the series has also achieved an 85 percent audience score and 83 percent Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.

So, what are you waiting for?

Sweet Home is currently available to watch on Netflix, with season three set for release in summer 2024.
