There’s a new Nicole Kidman murder mystery thriller on Netflix and fans are obsessed with it.

No, there’s not new Big Little Lies, but Kidman is back in a remarkably similar role for a new Netflix Murder Mystery thriller.

Joined by co-stars Liev Shrieber, Dakota Fanning, Eve Hewson, and Jack Reynor, the murder mystery has had fans binging the entire show in just one afternoon and begging for more.

    Check out the trailer here:

The show in question is called The Perfect Couple, and has just released on Netflix today.

Whilst it is yet to crack the Netflix charts at the time of writing, you can expect that to be outdated very quickly, as fans are already devouring the show.

The Perfect Couple follows Nicole Kidman as Greer Garrison Winbury, who is married to Schrieber’s Tag Winbury.

When someone is killed, the rich couple’s family become suspects.

It’s Knives Out meets Big Little Lies, and fans are already loving it.

The show received an average rating of 6.7 on IMDb and, whilst receiving a middling score of 58% on Rotten Tomatoes, has received some favourable reviews.

The Guardian’s Lucy Mangan gave the show four stars, saying: “It’s almost impossible to resist bingeing the entirety of this classy detective drama set around a posh wedding in Nantucket. It’s a glorious, perfectly paced delight.

The Perfect Couple has a proper plot – and some to spare.

“The carousel of suspects turns and reveals drop at perfectly spaced intervals; if there is anyone who can resist bingeing all six episodes once they have started, I will eat a fruit basket.”

It seems Mangan won’t have to go through that delightfully posh punishment, as fans have already got to binging the show.

One fan posted in the Facebook group Netflix Bangers asking for reviews, with one viewer commenting: “It’s soooo good! A binge watch show for sure. Loved it!”

Another said: “Binged watched the whole show in one arvo…. Bit tacky but good viewing”.

One tweet pointed to the show’s opening, a dance opening involving the whole cast.

They posted: “I love how #theperfectcouple isn’t too serious or complicated.. The storyline is straightforward and that opening dance number is just the cutest!! 10/10 recommend!”

One viewer made similar comparisons to Big Little Lies, saying: “The Perfect Couple on Netflix is another entry in the distressed Nicole Kidman genre with an all new wig, an all new loser husband and annoying kids and an all new dead body.

“They made this for me and you know what, I enjoyed every minute of it. It’s soapy and while it isn’t groundbreaking, it’s VERY entertaining.”

The Perfect Couple is streaming on Netflix now.
