Netflix has released 'the best show' it's 'put out in a long time' which viewers are already calling for a second season for.

Spooky season can, quite frankly, do one, because who wants to be made to feel even more scared than we're already being made to feel by Christmas countdowns already ticking and people freaking out over cuffing season?

Thankfully, the perfect rom-com to quell your nerves is here, yes, Netflix has done it again. Prepare to squeal in delight:

The American rom-com series was written and executive produced by 'very cynical writer' and 'very cynical person' Erin Foster (known for her work on NBC sitcom The New Normal) - already sold.

And what's more, it stars Queenpins' Kristen Bell, Shazam!'s Adam Brody, Succession star Justine Lupe and Veeps' Timothy Simons - sold again.

Foster told Tudum the series' focuses 'failing at dating and failing at relationships and things blowing up and finding the humor in it', and it does this centering around the characters of agnostic Joanne (Bell) and 'unconventional rabbi' Noah (Brody).

On top of the pair's differing stances on religion and outlooks on life, add in the hilariously relatable hurdles of dating in the modern day alongside some tricky family members, and the series serves up the sort of classic, feel good, side-splitting rom-com which all rom-com lovers have been crying out for since the likes of Bridget Jones came out.

And it's not taken long for Netflix users to flood social media to weigh in on the series.

At the time of writing, Nobody Wants This has an impressive Rotten Tomatoes tomatometer score of 95 percent and popcornmeter score of 89 percent.

The series was also shared to LADbible Facebook Group Netflix Bangers by a user asking for people's thoughts on the show.

One Facebook user said: "Best binge watching show of this year so far. Loved it."

"I liked it definitely needs another season asap," another added.

A third wrote: "I've watched it twice already."

"Probably the best show Netflix has put out in a long time," a fourth commented.

A fifth wrote: "Amazing, uplifting, stunning, best show I’ve seen in years."

Despite the show only being released on September 26, calls for a second season are growing, but should fans be hopeful?

Well, creator Foster told Indiewire: “We’re getting a really positive response. And so I think the conversations have definitely started to happen about a potential Season Two. The story in Season One unfolds really slowly. And so I think if there is a Season Two I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves.

"I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!"

You can catch the first season of Nobody Wants This on Netflix now.
