If you haven't seen this new movie then they're definitely in the minority as over 80,000,000 Netflix viewers already watched it.
Okay, I know that high viewership doesn't always mean a movie's good, but this film's near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score (96 percent) will likely persuade to give it a go.
The film in question is called KPop Demon Hunters and, I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but it's actually a lot of fun.

Anyone who has had Netflix for a while will know that the streaming giant has upped the quality of its original animation movies over the years (2021's The Mitchells Vs. The Machines and Christmas classic Klaus being my personal favorites), and KPop Demon Hunters is yet another win for Netflix in its bid to go up against the likes of Pixar, DreamWorks, and Disney.
Per the title, KPop Demon Hunters is about a K-pop group called HUNTRIX that's created to fare off demons until the demons themselves create a rival boyband called Saja Boys.
No, I'm not kidding.
It's worth a watch despite it's rather flimsy plot, for the music in particular. It's not just me who is loving the music either as 'Golden' by HUNTRIX is currently number one of the Billboard Global Chart, an achievement that the likes of BTS and BLACKPINK are yet to achieve.
Meanwhile, 'Your Idol' by Saja Boys sits at number three behind Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' on the global chart at the time of writing.

With its extremely catchy and loveable tunes in mind, KPop Demon Hunters is on its way to becoming Netflix's most streamed animation movie in the history of the streaming platform, per What's On Netflix, and is predicted to surpass 2023 film LEO.

The movie is a hit with both critics and general audiences. One critic on Rotten Tomatoes said of the animation: "KPop Demon Hunters is an unexpectedly entertaining mash-up of two seemingly unrelated genres. It works because it is colorful, funny, imaginative, and above all heartfelt and sincere."
A second said: "It’s easy to see why KPop Demon Hunters is fast becoming a global sensation; it’s catchy as hell. It’s nearly impossible not to get swept up in its infectious rhythm."

"What makes KPop Demon Hunters so effective isn’t just that it nails the aesthetic; it gets the emotions right," raved someone else.
Doubling down on the movie being better than they expected, a different person penned: "The art is amazing and the humor is on point. It's a lot of fun and little girls will love it. More than what you would expect!"
