Netflix viewers have been left blown away by a new thriller which many have dubbed a 'must-watch'.

If you're a subscriber to Netflix - and let's face it, who's not - then you'll know it can be difficult to know what to put on.

Scrolling through each category and finding something to watch is never easy, so seeing what others are talking about online is always helpful.

Well, one perhaps surprising series is being talked about a lot of social media right now in the form of a new mystery drama.

Viewers have been raving about the six-part series based on the Forst book series by Polish writer Remigiusz Mróz.

Released on January 11, Detective Forst follows Detective Wiktor Forst (played by Borys Szyc), as he sets out a plan to work out and discover more surrounding a bunch of vicious murders in the Tatra Mountains.

He doesn't act alone though, as with the help of journalist Olga Szrebska (played by Zuzanna Saporznikow), all will hopefully be solved.

An officials synopsis for Detective Forst adds: "When a detective's maverick approach to investigating gets him suspended, he teams with a journalist to solve a series of brutal murders."

Since dropping on Netflix, many viewers have flocked to social media to sum up their thoughts.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: "I finished Detective Forst on Netflix last night, it was pretty good. I can recommend it for someone who likes crime stories."

A second added: "I’m already hooked on Detective Forst. OMG this show is sooooo good!!!"

While a third remarked: "Have you watched Detective Forst on @netflix? Kinky. Deep. Strange. Great."

The series has impressed viewers.

Another viewer commented: "I’m already hooked on Detective Forst."

And someone else penned: "I knew that Detective Forst was going to be wild after the first 5 minutes."

Detective Forst doesn't have enough critic reviews to obtain a Rotten Tomatoes score just yet, though the thoughts that have come in so far have been very much positive.

The Decider's Johnny Loftus penned: "With a moody tone and eerie visuals to go with its familiar police procedural structure, Detective Forst brings out the grandeur of the Polish Highlands and features a strong central performance from Borys Szyc in the title role."

While Jonathon Wilson, from Ready Steady Cut, wrote: "You’ve seen it all before, there’s no doubt about that, but you might want to see it again in this particular package if you’re that way inclined."

Detective Forst is available to stream on Netflix now.
