Michael J. Fox says he has an idea for a Back To The Future remake

Well this sounds very exciting.

Michael J. Fox has revealed that he has an idea for a Back To The Future remake - should we be lucky enough to get one.

It comes as the actor reunited with his Back To The Future co-star Christopher Lloyd, at the New York Comic Con earlier this month.

The pair of actors left fans overjoyed as they hugged it out on stage in front of a crowd, before chatting about their careers together.

The movies, which were released between 1985 and 1990, told the story of Marty McFly (Fox) getting sent 30 years into the past in a time machine built by mad scientist Doc Brown (Lloyd).

The franchise was made up of two successful sequels where Marty travelled to the far distant future of 2015 and back into the Wild West.

Fox is adamant that the movie could 'come around again' and told ET that he even has an idea for a remake.

"I actually had this thought that if they did the movie again, they should do it with a girl as Marty," he said.

"There’s something about it that connects with people on every level. I just feel like it will come around again."

He added: "What’s most amazing about Back to the Future is that - and it has nothing to do with me - but it has this life.

"People don’t just like it and remember it, they celebrate it and embrace it and get my face tattooed on their leg, and I mean, it’s crazy but in a good way.

"I love it and I only recently have been able to embrace it in a way. Not that I rejected it before, or wasn’t proud of it, but I didn’t fully get how much people related to it, how much it meant to them."

Speaking about what it was like to reunite with Lloyd, Fox said he was 'so happy to see him'.

"Chris is the best guy. He’s gone from being this actor that I work with that I thought was funny and smart, to being a guy who was kind of like my brother, to being a father figure, to being now in a way that I never expected," he explained.

"People just like us together, because we remind them of people that they like and like to be with, and when I saw Chris at Comic Con, I just threw my arms around him because I was so happy to see him, and I'll continue to feel that way every time I see him."
