The newest trailer for Captain America: Brave New World has just dropped.

After years of waiting, the first Captain America movie since 2016’s Captain America: Civil War is set to be released in 2025, with a new trailer showing off exactly what fans can expect from Marvel’s next big release.

The film will follow Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, in his first full-length film as Captain America. This also means it is the first Captain America film to not star Chris Evans, who starred as Steve Rodgers in the most recent trilogy of films for the legendary superhero.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Wilson took over the role of Captain America at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame.

Audiences then saw Wilson grow to become more comfortable in said role as Captain America throughout the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which was released in 2021 - and was something of a precursor to the upcoming feature-length film starring Mackie.

Harrison Ford makes his debut with the new Captain America film as General Ross, the role previously played in the MCU by the late William Hurt.

Meanwhile, another MCU newcomer is on the call sheet in the form of Shira Haas, while Danny Ramirez reprises his Falcon and the Winter Soldier of role as Joaquin Torres.

The hugely impressive new trailer also provides a sneak peak into Giancarlo Esposito's role in the latest Capitan America - something that is yet to be disclosed by Marvel.

Beyond the initial excitement for the new movie, many fans are hoping that Captain America: Brave New World breeds new life and excitement into the MCU.

As Phase 5 continues to be met with mixed reviews, few films in the phase’s lineup have as much excitement surrounding it as Marvel Studios’ fourth Captain America film.

Ultimately, even just receiving this new trailer is likely to excite many fans, who have been fearful about the film’s release, as it has undergone several changes and delays since its initial announcement - albeit under a different name - back in 2022.

The trailer comes just a matter of weeks before San Diego Comic-Con, where Marvel is expected to detail more surrounding its latest slate of movies.

Captain America: Brave New World will release in cinemas across the globe on 14 February, 2025.
