Live-action Miles Morales film is in the works and fans want Stranger Things actor Caleb McLaughlin to star

Marvel producer Amy Pascal has revealed the movie is happening and fans have been vocal about their dream casting for the role.

Film producer Amy Pascal has officially confirmed we are nowhere near done with Spider-Man's story as a live-action Miles Morales movie is currently in the works.

The Hollywood big-wig revealed to Variety at the May 30 premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in Los Angeles that fans will 'see all of it' very soon.

"It’s all happening," she teased.

The Chairperson of Sony Pictures Entertainment was far more cagey about Spider-Man's next steps... or swings.

When asked by Variety, he laughed and said: "If I told you, I’d have to kill you."

Yikes.

But that hasn't stopped vocal fans from taking the news as a green light to run with their own dream cast list.

Fans swung by Twitter to give their opinions, with many calling for Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin to slip into the Spidey suit.

One Twitter user said: "We actually don't need that, but I need Caleb McLaughlin as Miles."

Another added: "Caleb McLaughlin is clearly the easiest choice Hollywood can ever make for Miles Morales."

A third quipped: "I can see Caleb McLaughlin as Miles! Anyone else agree or have other suggestions?"

It turns out many fans were on the same wavelength.

One even claimed they had officially boarded the McLaughlin Express: "I did my research. I’m all aboard the Caleb McLaughlin as Miles Morales train."

There has been no official confirmation of any casting for the live-action Spider-Verse movie, but fans are clearly making their top choice clear.

As for the other Spider-Man related flicks in the works, Pascal said a fourth Spider-Man movie is in the works with Tom Holland and Zendaya.

However, development is currently on hold due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike.

"Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are," she told Variety.

"We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started."

There's also a Spider-Woman movie on its way, where we'll see a female superhero version of the traditionally male superhero have her chance in the sun.

Speaking to Variety at the same Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Marvel producer Avi Arad dropped a major hint for moviegoers.

Apparently Spider-Woman will swing into theaters 'sooner than you expect'.

"I cannot tell you yet, but it’s coming," he said.

Oof. Sounds like some exciting things are happening over at Marvel Studios. We can hardly wait.
